Hoshinkos autocast is bad.. you need to manual tell ones to use either one. Nothing is supposed to be high-micro the devs said.. but the autocasts don't work right, so the game is very high micro just not in a APM kind of way.

Well.. yeah.. The sova should get slowed by about half while using Embargo, but making the ability be channeling(stops when cast, moving cancel it) would be going too far. It's just one of the few abilities good for rushing, so in contrast to all the bad abilities it's really good. :) (That said, yeah it is too good as the sova can easily kite around.)
Okay.. so? You can edit the achievements file in your game folder to unlock them all without even playing the game.
Vasari and Advent.
Beat me by a while too ;o It is an ability which uses up antimatter on Advent/Tec Colony frigates and Vasari Scouts.
Well and it's not like we're trying to hurt the average players. We want the game to just be plain better for everyone. I have a lot of suggestions for the UI and stuff to make things more newbie friendly.. but these balance things are more important before i suggest those things..

I'm in IRC all the time. I'm not going through the hastle of waiting in game and arranging a 1v1 on the forum. It's much easier to go on irc "ready to play, innociv?" and then i say yes or no. And CyberMage, HuntingX would win most likely.

IT doesn't make him better. It just means he knows more what he's talking about than someone posting "omgs i lost to scouts plz fix." or "omg i made a novalith and the game didn't auto-victory for me"
With Deliverance engine you can use it as an offensive bonus.. This is why i've said the culture cannon is the only useful super weapon in multiplayer. You can fire it at a planet the enemy fleet is at, then jump in, and your ships have your culture shield mitigation bonus on them. I think pirates are fine. But 20k bounty of pirates is far too weak. They lose effectiveness after the 2nd raid.. After the 2nd it's easy to put up 2 repairs and 2 guns at a planet.
You fail in understanding flaks dps is split to 4 guns. Yeah they may lose if you only allow the forward gun to fire. Don't use BS [B]biased [/B]"tests" to try and get what you want. Someone like me will just uncover your lies and then make you lose credibility. And Haeso is no expert.
I added culture to the bottom. I haven't really test how many broadcasts it takes to counter other broadcasts though. (IE the expand rate vs. the repel rate) I just know from playing that it's way too easy to repel culture.

I don't even think the engine knows what top and bottom is. Gun locations only have f/b/l/r but will fire when things are above/below. I don't think ships having less shields in the rear would be horrible but.. not saying it's a needed feature either.
yeah back in 1.02 the crystal/metal prices would often go up to like 1000-1200 which meant they sold for 666-800. Since Vasari got the best resource income, they could sell these for credits. Then in 1.03 things got screwed up so bad, massively buffing tec, as crystal/metal could pretty much always be bought for 250-350, but only sold for 80-120 Now the buy is around 450-600 usually(imo should peak high on booms and crash harder ;/) and sell around 225-300. i don't think it'll be noticed [i]that[/i] much. Same difference as going from high to very high in current settings. The textures are like 512x512, 512x1024, 1024x1024 now most. 4x would be 1024x1024, 1024x2048, 2048x2048. IT's kinda hard to see with how dark things tend to be. :P Homeworld2 has the nice lighting showing everything off. What it'd like is dynamic lights for when weapons fire to light up the ship :) Would be a much bigger improvem
