I know this is probably not the type of thing you'll be putting in the updates but is there andy way to have one of the updates make it so you can play without sound, my sond card doesn't work so I can't play. Kind of sucks.

I thought that was the problem. Thanks for the info. I'm working on getting my sound card working. YOu say it requires a working sound card at the moment, is there a possibility that that could change in the near future?
I installed the game but when I try and start it up the screen turns black like it's loading but then nothing happens. When I access task manager the game closes and a message pops up and says Sins of a Solar Empire has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. I'm running windows XP but my sound doesn't work on this computer. I read that the game will crash with vista if speakers or headphones are not plugged in, could I be having the same problem?
