Hi, I bought this game right when it came out and played for a week or two. I loved the game but due to design oversight or some other issue, the game speed was painfully slow for a 1v1 RTS. 3 hours to build, 2 hours to fight was too crazy. I gave feedback on the issue and there were no developments. I was just wondering if they have increased the speed of the game at all? If I recall correctly, when I played over a year ago, the speeds were slow, medium and fast

Is there a crowd of people that are dominating in this game? If so, where are the replays to watch? Thanks.

It wasn't an oversight. It was precisely to discourage "playing to win at all costs" style of playing. If other people want to set up their own tournaments, that's fine. But I don't want the typical ICO game to consist of one player trying to play a fun game versus someone who has figured out that the best strategy i
For some reason there is a gross conceptual error about the way a stat system works. If you don't have a game mode that RANDOMLY matches players, stats are pointless. I could buy two games and play against myself all day to get my 100% win percentage. Don't even bother keeping stats unless you look at adding in a server hosted match up system. I really think it is what this game needs. I have the game shelved until I see some promising news on this.
Accidental post, sorry.
Hey everyone. It seems like y'all are basking in the success of Sins. It is a great game. I haven't played in a few weeks because I am waiting for a faster speed setting in multiplayer games. I haven't perused the forums so I haven't seen any posts about increasing game speed considerably although I heard rumors about a month ago when I last hit the forums. Anyone hear/know anything?
[quote]Seems that a little game developer and a little publisher can beat the big ones anytime Owned !!!Sshhh... Be careful saying stuff like that you will ruin the mojo of Sins!I really really really really hope that Stardock and Ironclad folks never get corrupted by corporate thinking and style. Bioware, Blizzard and now Epic all went down the tubes because of it. All there is left is PR talk about how they care about customers and quality, but all they really care is profit. So show them all t
My hosting panel gives me that warning and it still works every time when I hook the cable modem directly up to the computer. If you have TS or vent contact me and I will walk you through setting up the game to play behind a router. Don't fret.
I highly recommend that you get Windows XP. Vista is a disaster for the most part and not very game friendly. Wait for Vista patches to come out before you get it.
"iam not sure if there is need for an English Version" What does this mean? I would love to read an English strategy guide.
Hi there. I understand how to forward ports because I used to host behind a firewall in WC3. My problem is that when I go to my port forwarding settings via 192.168.1.1 I have insufficient room to put in the application name. The application name area only accepts like 12 characters so 'Sins of a Solar Empire.exe' won't fit. Are there any ways around this or any 3rd party programs that will allow me to do this? Thanks.
I typed, "This game will never be successful as a single player RTS but from what I have seen the multiplayer aspects has TONS of potential" above, and after I posted I couldn't figure out how to edit it. It didn't come out right and I don't want to get accused of flaming:) I just mean to say that the longevity of the game relies heavily on the multiplayer aspect and not on the single player game. For example, WalMart still sells Starcraft 10 years after it came out and those sales are based
-I think there should be an option to reduce ship HP and Shields. It is a bit unrealistic when a capitol ship and 5 or 6 scouts takes several rounds of fire to kill a single scout. -More speed options would make more sense. Sure, real long games are interesting but when I have a window of 3 hours to play, I can't really start a multiplayer game with 100% assurance that I will be done by the time I need to go. -Is there a reason that no form of ladder or automatic map making was made?
