It makes me feel like being the emoticon on the right when I build a lot of them:
Yes! The Advent already were a bit anoying to start with, but the newest ships are so much worse. Maby as a secret wepon for the advent you can have it so that your opponants hear them intstead of you. I think even an AI would rage quit :-p. Might solve the pr
one akkan would be rediculous, but this is no a rebellion thing its happened to me in diplomacy a few times. Certain types (havent determined which since i play on random) of TEC ai just build a lot of akkans. it is annoying, but akkans are kinda fragile so in the gaps where your not stopped just focus fire on the akkan, or wait till the akkans split up. I do think the pacifier power should be shortend though
Ive played several games now and i cant seem to get ais who i have peace treaties with to send me any envoys. I send them the mission over and over without result. Whats weird is they will send envoys to other AI but not to me. Because what you can do with peace depend on "my" opinion of them as much as thiers of me. Dilo is kind of broken beyond no shooting and shared vision
@ seleucia Don't give up the fight! If the developers have an "us vs them" mentality then yes we aren't going to get anywhere, and this beta will be a complete farce. It will be plainly clear if the devolopers do not actually increase titan tech requirements, something the community at large seems to agree with. This would be a marketing failure at a profound level. @ warloklor
I just played a game as advent rebs and the tec loyalist in the game showed a -5 faction modifier. even with diplo research i couldn't surpass it to get a ceasefire before someone else in the game killed them even if it is only 1.35 i still would like to see research that lets you mitigate some of that factional mistrust
After playing a lot of the beta, ive had a a lot of trouble trying to play with any kind of diplomacy, unless they are both the same race and faction as me. I think it stems from the new faction relations modifier. It seems way too high and kind of makes diplomacy useless. Plus there is no research letting you bypass it. I understand that tec rebs should have a big modifier against any alien (due to thier xenophobia), but -10?! its a little extreme and impossible to overcome, even if your att
anything that fires at multiple targets (ie capital ships, starbases, and titans) can take out corvettes with amazing ease. With a free capship early game it shouldnt be too much to fight them off early game. I go for no nerf
"Knit pick 2: annoyingly redundant ship creation / galaxy event / etc audio" This I must agree with. When i have to build a bunch of ships, the spawn audio repeating make my wife want to break my computer...And im not that fond of it either. Maby just have it play every time it switches to a new type of ship, but not repeated if its 10 or 20 of the same ship type.
Yea. Playing against large groups of AI's it seems to just be a race among them to build as many superwepons as they can and fire at eachother and u. The unfortunate result is any AI who are not TEC die off early in the game without any fleet battle hapening. This is problematic to fun
No, if you make the Titans lose all lvl's than it would eliminate whoever loses their titan first. The best idea would be that the titan loses 1.5 lvls of xp per death. So you get no benefit from the sacrifice while still letting you risk your titan.
This seems like a reasonable solution. It would eliminate the early sacrifice for xp since it would effectively lose them all that they gained, but wouldn't&nbs
Ive confirmed that this happens with the advent rebels too, but it does seem to mostly occur when there are other cap ships in the titan led fleet. All ships do it in that case, but when its just a titan with a frig/cruiser support fleet with it doesn't seem to happen
I do think they need a bit of a boost in weapons, though not much since they are supposed to be a massed danger. I do thing they need a naturally lower chance to be hit, that way if they are they die, but its hard to hit them in the first place. Would make sense for how they move
After scrolling through the forum subjects i see other people have addressed this idea. Still i thin the more its said the more the devs might pay attention
Ive already posted about how the advent titan need a basic boost in weapons and survivability, but i have a specific sugestion on how to make the rebel advent titan be more useful. The Level 6 ability is powerful, but is problematic because it requires that you lose your titan to have it work. Titans are really expensive, and late game where youve boosted your fleet cap, its can be way to expensive to rebuy, especially if you've lost is more th
I had an idea to make corvettes more convenient cannon fodder (right now i think they are too weak). what if we had titans be able to build them like strikcraft, except still have them cost resources and pop cap. Maby even have the carrier cap ships be able to build them. In luie of this perhaps a special new ship that could do this. I understand they are usful in large groups as swarming cannon fodder, but if you are no where near a factory i
Different skins would be nice, but i can understand is that isnt feasible, but a lot more techs would be nice, and a bit of a tweak for corvettes. Maby different skins for just some of the ships? The titans need ballanceing desperately!
It seems that, with the loyalists anyway, that when you have a titan as the flagship of a fleet, there is a strange bug where in the middle of combat, the other ships that are part of the fleet (including caps) will randomly leave the battle and go to the other side of the grav well, as if thats where the fleet reformation is. This is especially annoying with support ships that need to be close to your combat ships to do their job. I have not seen this issue
ok so far ive only played loyalist, but im kinda disappointed in the lack of love for the Advent. The loyalist titan is interesting and has some cool abilities but those abilities and its wepon strength and survivability are fractional compared to both TEC titans. Normaly what advent lacks in raw power they make up for in cool abilities, but the TEC's abilities seem to be way more powerful, leaving the advent with little advantage (ill grant you the take over plan
I like to build diverse fleets so i can play with the synergy of many different abilities (why i love advent generally) and as much as i try to included the corsev i cant find any kind of effective role for it. I find it a completely useless ship. Especially since structure capture is indeed disabled. It needs a boost in some department before i can conceive including it in my fleet again. Bring back structure cap and make boarding cost less and be a faster coold

I think i have to go with the calm down and take it with a grain of salt crowd here. Id love to have a "I already paid for this game, i want what i want (which is advent and Vasari)" hissy fit, but its kinda misplaced. Its thier game, and we are lucky enough to be in the beta. No one made you preorder it, and as much as i want more, i can apreciate them wanting to get THIER game right. I hope advent is re released soon, but of all of you who got the early taste, feel lucky, not robbed. I miss
Usually the fleet list per planet chart on the left side of the screen does the courtesy of listing cap ships first, other combat ships second, strike-craft, and finally structures and non combat ships at bottom. This is a huge convienence normally, especially in combat, since it gives you access to all your capital ships (who are most likely to have abilities you want to micro) simply by using Tab and Shift-Tab. Plus when you use a Ctrl # system
There is also problems with the titan being able to turn while a fleet is near by. makes getting them to phase jump with a fleet annoying some times
Making an RTS bug race, it would be difficult not to have them end up looking like the Mantis from conquest frontier wars....i did love that game though. Thematically it was like starcraft in space
