Awesome! I like patches!
One question. Does this increase the speed of missile projectiles? I installed it last night and found my missiles to be moving extremely fast, much more so than usual. Is it supposed to do that? And...what would I do to fix this if I don't like it? Thanks!
Wow, people need to calm down a bit in this thread. In the end, we all need to realize that what he releases is up to him. If you want to give your input on how things can be done, do it constructively. Don't make demands or whine, because that's just going to turn the author away from finishing the mod. There's nothing wrong with asking if he'd be willing to release a version that's got vanilla unit stats alongside one that's got his changes. There IS something wrong with d
I'll add my voice to the camp that I'd like to at least see a "graphics only" release of this mod...if you still want to do some changes to the gameplay, go ahead, but would you be willing to release a version that only gets your graphics changes?
Isn't that just 7zip?
Take that one unit that does it and remove it from the fleet. Often, it'll then jump, and just jump back, rejoining anyways.
Excellent! Now i can do away with my shoddy merge, and use something that gives BOTH mods!
Typically, I thought Advent are seen as the race to carrier spam, as they get carriers really quickly. Not sure how this works out, though, as I've never really gotten into them much.
I still build a colonizer ship as my very first ship. It needs time to build anti-matter.
Why not get the cap ship yard up and running and grab a free colonizer cap ship?
...wait, the crashing was because of the Militia carriers? How odd.
Curse the randomness of computers. I'll look into it now.
Thanks for all your work, btw. I can't imagine the stress this is giving you. I'll let you know if I figure anything out in getting it to work.
I usually try to have at least a cap ship and 3 or 4 light frigates before jumping into anything other than an asteroid.
...I can activate this in game without a problem. But for some reason, I can't set it to automatically load on startup. Every time, it gives a minidump error.
I'm currently waiting on a dev response on this issue, as I'd really like to have individual planetaccess techs available, but if it's not possible, I'll continue on with the merge.Patience, grasshopper(s)
We are the unwashed masses! We have no patience! ;)
Worked fine for me, haven't played it yet. But it worked fine loading it up.
I'll admit, i've gone and upped the percentage of bonuses in my games.
I know, working for a living sucks, but some of us have to do it eh?
I know! At least my job allows for me to browse the forum and post while I'm at work. :D
Question for you, while I'm thinking of it. Does colonizing and increasing population on a gas giant add the nifty little craft flying about its orbit? Because that would be quite cool.
back to work tomorrow and back to limited free time.
No more slacking off and playing video games all day, huh? ;)
OK. Updated to the Glorious and hopefully unf*cked 1.1DELETE YOU ORIGINAL SINS PLUS THEN INSTALL THIS ONEThis will save any cross overs or any other complications.
Awesome. I can't wait to try this out this evening!
I love locking teams, it eliminates the need for diplomacy, which I was never a fan of. But, it can also provide a challange if you leave it on but ignore them.
Yeah, diplomacy is kind of depressing as it is.
Holy wall of text, Batman! Wall of Text deals 4d12 damage to my brain. In regards to the AI ganging up on you....what do you expect? You're leaving diplomacy in, but not playing the diplomacy game. They're all playing it together, and you're not in there to help influence yourself. They all have one thing in common--they're pissed at you. It makes sense that if you ignore all their diplomatic demands/requests, they're all going to dislike you. If you want them to k
Yes, there are some stock sounds used. At least we don't have any Wilhelm Screams, though
If you're using stock sounds, how can you resist using the Wilhelm?
I like your thinking verybad, and I have already implemented what you have suggested. Barren planets and Gas Giants even when fully upgraded will cost you money, due to the fact that keeping platforms operating in a Gas Giant would be very maintenance heavy, and Barren colonies would require oxygen and supplies constantly. The starting under-development tax for both of these is crippling early on (I actually hit 0 Credits when testing, I just expanded too quickly), but the payoffs can be
