Hey guys, recently I have been trying to host games, but to no luck. Can anybody tell me how I can host, I know I have to open the router ports or something like that, but I would like your guidance. Thanks in Advance!

Well, if you're looking for something to protect against the ship spammer, the vasari might be for you. The first Vasari capship in the list (i forget its name) has a level 6 ability which makes any ship destroyed in a certain radius give a large amount of damage to every other ship in the radius. Kind of like the Advent. Nothing much but its a start I suppose. I'd like to see a list of counters too. Good luck on your quest! :CONGRAT:
I don't know, I tried spamming LRM frigs to save my life because it was 2v1 and it worked. I saw no noticeable increase in the cost or decrease in the performance of these things, because I was still cranking them out fast enough to defend my planets against an RA.
I'm afraid you are out of luck my friend. Every time you update the game, the old save games don't get updated. This means that you have extra files that are required to be loaded, but that your old save games don't have. You might as well delete them, all they do is take up space on your hard-drive. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Wow. If you have a problem with it, why don't you stop acting like a pussy and talk to the devs yourself. Or are you just such a sissy that you want other people to do your dirty work for you? If you have a problem just email the devs don't whine about it on the forums. It's none of these peoples' fault that nothing was done. Maybe nobody really noticed or cared about this. Maybe your the only bitch on these forums. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings but thats the way it is. If you don't
I totally agree with you. During one game alone I have had 10 accidental talks, on each side, where we let they other team know an important battle strategy, and vice versa. Also, its kinda scary to type because if you type it in wrong, like /s instead of /a (they're right next to each other on the keyboard) you could end up sending important info to the other team. I am filing a formal request to the dev team to fix this as soon as possible PLZ. X-( Anybody on this thread who supports me p
btw snake, another reason for an 8800GT. it runs crysis all settings very high 1024x768 resolution AA 0 AF 0 at 20fps
Sins would be fine with an 8600GT. It's more of a CPU limited game.
and you dont even need a good cpu to run it. there are several people who i know that run this on a 3200+ or its intel equivalent on high settings (but they have 8xxx GPU's in sli mode)
it does. read the special features right by the pic. it says pci-e 1x
mac and windows are pretty compatible. my brother runs half-life 2 for windows on a mac os and it works fine. you should be able to run it on mac but im not responsible if it doesnt work. you can always ask the devs to make a windows to mac compatibility patch.
sry pci-e 2 will work better than pci-e one. typo in above paragraph
im not sure if its pci-e 1 or 2, but the 8800gt is specifically meant to work for a wide number of people, its basically a cheap kickass upgrade that was meant to work for crappy systems in order to make them badass for less. if it says pci-e 2 then that means that the board will work better on pci-e 2, because the only difference between 1 and 2 is the data transfer speed.
what mobo do u have?
well, i have one of the first PCI-E boards (A8N-SLI deluxe), and the 8800GT works fine on mine.
Different people have different views, but you look at Crysis and expect to find a very well crafted fps. And it is well crafted, but not how you think. Crysis is not meant to make you go "Wow, this gameplay kicks ass!" (Although it is very good) It's meant for you to go, "HEY GUYS, I CAN RUN THIS FUCKIN GAME ON VERY HIGH, HOW COOL IS THAT!!!" In fact, Crysis is more of an interactive 3DMark than a full blown fps. Its the game by which all computers are judged. Don't bitch about Crysis sucki
the 8600GTS is good, but if you wait until the 9800GT comes out, then you can get the 8800GT, or even ultra, for a very good price. I estimate that when the 9800 comes out, the GT will drop to about 150 dollars, and the ultra to about 300 just a suggestion
just a question. do other players have to have the mod for you to play with them? otherwise, kicks ass thanks!
i actually made a post on this. u have encountered a ship spammer. the best way around them (in a nutshell) is to go around and attack his worlds. They spend all of their money building frigates, meaning they have no money to build defenses. just hop around them, and while their attacking your orbital structures, pop their worlds
You all know them, and you all hate them. You call them ship spammers. For most of you that word probably has a meaning. But let me explain it to those of you who have never had a game ruined by a spammer. A ship spammer is someone who build a crapload of one type of ship (such as 150 LRMs) and attacks. I am writing this fresh from a particularly stinging defeat at the hands of a ship spammer. It is important to know th
make a unit cap for individual types of units (like only 10 light carriers), so that somebody cant build 300 light carriers and swarm you with a giant group of fighters maybe make larger unit caps for individual types of units researchable (like capship unit caps) also, make defense platforms a little stronger (maybe even give them shields)
First off, this is not a complaint, this is just a question! this has happened to me a lot more than once...is this familiar to anybody? so you're sitting there, chilling, almost completely defenceless, when suddenly a full pirate fleet comes out of hyperspace near your totally defenceless world and blows it straight to hell. i have heard that there are ways to turn the pirates of in multiplayer, but that they dont work. does anybody have a fullproof method for taking out pi
yea i agree some times ship guns should miss but the thing is that the only race that uses projectile weapons, the tec, would be at a a huge disadvantage against the vasari and advent who solely rely on a weapons of plasma and lasers
the tec also have the homing missles though, those things sometimes curve through an entire gravity well and swing around to hit the target also, it seems that when a ship launches a salvo o
hey guys im kinda new to this, since i didnt get the beta, but has anyone else noticed how ships never seem to miss when firing weapons? i remember one time when one of my capital ships (i think dreadnought) fired on a target that was moving laterally to it i cant be sure, but i think that the projectile (your standard non-homing bullet) actually curved out of it's flightpath and hit the ship! what does everyone think should be about this? is there going to be
