I find competitive too stressful, I rather play at a leisurely pace. Also, while I enjoy a challenge I don't enjoy getting my behind handed to me. I generally find most games have an AI level that provides enough challenge to keep me interested. Unfortunately, Sins AI is tad predictable and even I can exploit it at hardest level (which really isn't saying much since I rarely find myself overcoming the hardest AI level in other games) . It's unfortunate they designed a

I 'm coming out of lurker mode to throw my two cents. I prefer single player games and I have been waiting very patiently for Ironclad to improve the AI and perhaps focus somewhat more on the single player experience. Since it seems the developers cater mostly to the multi-players I am starting to realize that I may have to write off Sins as a game that had great potential but failed to meet my expectations. I am hanging on to see if the Diplomacy mini expansion throws a bone over t
I with you hdaboy, I really would prefer the devs spent a little more time is making a sneakier AI. I'm just not into multiplayer I find it too stressful. I like to be able to hit pause examine the situation and make adjustments. I been playing a different RTS game where the skirmish mode is fairly challenging and giving me a decent fight so I know it's possible to have a decent single player AI. What mods are currently created to expand
Hey Thanks harpo99999, the .Net 3.5 did the trick.
I couldn't find a galaxy forge 1.1 so I upgraded my Sins to v.1.15 and I am still having the same issue. I have confirmed that I am running .Net 2.0 framework. Do I need the entrenchment expansion for this to work?
Still running version 1.14 of Sins - no mods. Decided to try and make a custom map. Downloaded and uncompressed galaxy forge 3 into a stand alone directory. Galaxy forge crashed upon launch stating "GalaxyForge has encounterd a problem and needs to close" with the standard send error report to Microsoft. Any ideas to resolve this? Thanks.
I am a single player gamer too, but I would rather see Ironclad improve the single player sandbox mode then a campaign. When I think of great single player games MOO/MOO2, Civilization(s) , and the Total War series immediately come to mind. None of these games had a campaign but they all had compelling single player sandbox modes. Most of these have a long term game appeal in that you still find yourself firing up a game years later just to reminisce the fun times you had playing such games.<br/
I am sucker of a good cutscene here and there.
Seriously, I would drop windows in a heart beat if there were truely great games that were native to Linux. The only reason I own windows is for the games and if consoles had a keyboard/mouse for an interface with more complex titles like Sins I wouldn't even own a PC.
I have confidence that Ironclad will introduce more elements into game for the single player. To me, as a single player, I understand that the developers were looking to provide replay value in a sandbox mode ala Civilization/MOO type fashion. Unfortunately, after playing several games the gameplay just plays out the same way almost everytime. It's just a little to repetitive in it's gameplay for a single player. I am waiting patiently for Ironclad to add a little more random/dynamic elements in
I think the reason most 4x games do not include a campaign is becuase they usually have 8 or more playable factions that possess an almost identical play experience. While MOO1 and MOO2 races had unique racial traits the research tree, planet management, and ship (weapons/defenses) designs were essentially the same. Also most 4x games provide the single player a huge amount of challenge, depth, and replay value with their random maps. RTS games usually have several playable factions wit
