I like the defensive structures. I don't like how they aren't useful anymore by the time you need them. I don't like that the other defensive structures are far better investments. --- I like the concept of culture. I don't like that the bonus is so low and easy to mitigate that nobody pays attention the the culture on their planets. --- I like the various ship models and ability concepts. I HATE it when my ships aren't worth their c

Fighters are the intended counters, but due to their total fragility and slow DPS they tend to be countered so cost effectively by flak frigs that they are never used. This encourages a 3 ship mentality: Heavy counters LRM, Support counters Heavy, LRM counters Support.

I'm noticing that asteroids always have 3-4 resources and volcanic/arctic planets have 2-3. This seems wrong, the assteroids should have 2-3 on average, while the volcanic/arctic planets should have 3-4 because they are more costly to build infrastructure on. Or am I missing something?

Ironclad got tired of trying to balance three factions so they decided to give up on Advent. They just didn't want to spell it out for us so they snuck in nerfs to their best units (defense vessels and drone hosts) to suggest to everyone to give up on them too.

Wow. This is the biggest f*** up ever. Totally uncalled for. A major mistake. IC, what could you possibly have been thinking? Strike craft are already so fragile as to make them flak fodder, without making them exorbitantly expensive to even field in the first place. Did IC get tired of trying to balance them so they just did this to suggest to everyone not to even try to use them? :(

I think they key to balancing LRMs will be making fighters (the intended counter) more resilient. Their counters (flaks) are far too cost effective in countering them making them a bad choice. Once they are made more resilient they will become a good counter to LRMs.

All you need are cap ships heavy cruisers and defense vessels. Try 4:1 heavy cruisers to defense vessels with as many cap ships as possible. The only thing that can counter your heavy cruisers are bombers which get torn to shreds before doing much of anything by a pittance of defense vessels, and heavy cruisers which you can out micro or out spam. A few shield support vessels are also useful.
Please do not only cater for multi player. Us single players are customers as well, just not as vocal.I would like to see options for SP speed of the game. I am new to this sort of things and the game still plays a little fast for me.I would also like to see some sort of colonization / invasion options in 1.1 If we could see some planet based building as well that would be great. Maybe an option for an expansion. Sort of like StarWars Empire at War.Cheers MarkL
Catering t

No point in starting a new thread just to flame him. 3. Also I like how you quote his response starting with point 4 and going to 5, where is the rest of his post? For all I know you are taking him out of context.<b

It's a real shame, but replays don't seem to be very popular in this community.
