I was actually envisioning that the mine layers would lay thin narrow belts of mines. 1 mine layer would lay a strip of mines several mines wide and deep with maybe a length of 25-30 mines from front to end. I was thinking it would be cool to have a destroyer class in the game. Destroyers are bigger then frigates but smaller then cruisers. There are 5-6 extra spots on the Frigate bar for future ships, could put them in there. Ideas are -War Destroyer, the first true military vessel designed by theTec, no more of the civilian ships converted for military duty. This ship would be like the Cobalt Frigate except slighly bigger, slighter more powerful (10-20 percent)<

I was playing the Centrifuge map, 18 planets and 3 players. I was the Tec against the Advent and Vasari. Somewhere along the way they allied and they started to take turns beating on me. I had 2 planets and 2 asteroids colonized and they pushed me back to my homeworld but I fought back hard. I started doing all my research in Military, started to pump out ships and eventually I took back my other planet but the onslaught was just too much and I lost the 2nd planet I had agai
I started a new game today, the last map on the small maps selection. It's a 3 person map with 18 or 19 planets, anyways I chose to play the Tec and let the computer handle the AI for the Advent and Vasari. I selected the same icon for the Advent and Vasari but gave them different colors. It appears that the Advent and Vasari where allied for the game till my eventual demise. Does the AI sometimes make alliances early on and if so how can I tell if they are allied?&n
