Nice, I've been working on something similar. Looks like there are others out there who want a faster game. How does the size of the star's gravity well affect things?
I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly, but I think you'd want a zone with minimal phaselanes to turn into your chokepoint anyway. You're not exactly choking anyone when they've got 6 escape routes. And in general, guides are just that - guides. When you're given a different situation, you'll just have to roll with it and come up with your own solution.
Thanks for the post, gonna have to watch this when i get home.
Efexeye, the problem is you're asking for an objective discussion about subjective opinions. Also, asking why it got an 88% at metacritic when you felt it shouldn't have is a hopeless cause. Sometimes personal tastes fall outside the masses, I know that's true of me. Having said that, I agree with you. My friend and I bought the game....and we were both kinda disappointed. I've been pretty mum about it here because quite frankly, these forums are as close as you can get to the "home tu
Ive waited 10 mins...i have a decent computer and when i goto the task manager it says that sins is not responding which to me means...its crashed
Alright, just had to ask. How long have you waited? Your comp decently fast? I get a pause after I enable my mod (which actually does the exact opposite of what you want lol, I sped it up). At first I thought it froze, but after a few seconds, it started going again.
Correction: Bad RTS games in a nutshell. I must be the only person here who thought Starcraft was absolutely terrible. It and Warcraft III were some of the worst RTS games I've ever played because they promoted rushing. Being rushed by zerglings, carriers, or those walking tree structures is no fun. Good RTS games prevent this from happening. Take Rise of Nations for an example. Someone can try to rush long-range MLRS/artillery but all you have to do is counter with helicopters or bring t
Sorry, looks like I'm late to the party, and I don't have time to read through 32 pages, so hopefully I'm not repeating someone else's suggestion. I was hoping there'd be a little more 4x in the game. So far it leans more heavily towards RTS imo. I don't think a patch will resolve that, but here is one thing that I think could help (I also apologize if it's already been implemented, because I just started playing): Set up trade agreements. If I'm allied with my teammate, I'd ju
