initial thoughts. DOmina sub heal is no longer channeling, a very nice buff. Titans seem kinda weak when compared to tec healthwise. Rebel advent titans looks to be insanely powerful if it ever gets to level 6 and you have a sacrifisable fleet.
calwyn, the advent and vasari factions are in the game code, albeit in a incomplete fashion. Some modders have made a mod to access the advent and vasari factions, so they can see all the work the devs have done so far on them.
I been getting the black screen after the opening movie in rebellion after the 1a patch. I just get a black screen and a blinking cursor, sound plays, and if you click the right spots you can navigate the menu's blind. The game doesn't minidump so I can't do #2 on that list.....
Blizzard adding the humorous quotes on their units in their RTS really added a lot of charm to the game that people remember long after they stop playing it. Add a "We brake for nobody" sticker to the back of the rebel titan would just up the epicness of the game to further levels.
First, the link to the replay of thegame I played. http://www.gamefront.com/files/21408899/AutoRecord-03081255.record This was a 3 way ffa game. Two loyalist, vs one rebel (myself). Start off with border skirmishes, with both loyalist getting titan's early, I star base early. We get a nice titan vs star base battle early between me and KL3MZ, his titan almost kill my star base, but then my tit
So I've been playing the beta since it came out and I think I've gotten a handle on things enough to post some feedback. Corvettes: So I'm having trouble placing Corvettes. I feel that the 1 supply requirement is probably too low. As you can easily spam these ships early game. And while their damage and health are really low, against early game ships they're maneuverability makes them really good. 2 supply might be a better requirement than 1. Also their abiliti
Sounds like a multiplayer desync.
Another thought on occupation victory. There is only one path/phase lane to the planet. In the game I played I threw down 4 star bases right where ships must jump to get to the artifact planet before I attacked the planet. Needless to say, as my opponents jumped in to stop me, the star bases shredded them with ease. There needs to be a secondary path to get to the planet from the star to prevent this type of camping before a attack is even started.
Few things about boarding party. I captured a frigate factory then captured the world....and the frigate factory wasn't recognized as being present, it did nothing. Had to scuttle it. Also, in the same game my team mate used it on the ogrovs, and the the game still showed them as belonging to the enemy even when they weren't.
First off, if you are going to troll, make sure you get your facts straight, 2 kols + 300 kodiaks = 3100 fleet supply, impossible for one player to get alone, even with the old supply pact and large fleets.
1. Teching to the backbone of your fleet is essential. You often see TEC open up with two military labs and get a third shortly after. and they now have access to the backbone of their fleets for a long long time. As advent, you will have a slightly harder time because Illum cost 3 military labs. A popular opening is getting disciples and scouts (scouts do well against lrf) while you get that third military lab. Buying health and shield upgrades are essential as well. Weak ships just means yo
Be a man, is she is hot, its all good, if she isnt, consider her practice to get the hot ones.
Still waiting for someone to write something about me.
yes
Here is replay of a game last night where kbroke exhibited extremely poor manners and showing off why you shouldn't play with him. http://www.gamefront.com/files/20561036/AutoRecord-07152322.record
Two observations about this thread. !. Itchynail is so awesome, he is tier 1 and tier 2. 2. I am the only one with nothing written about....I guess its just that hard to capture my awesomeness.
Fully upgraded star base, AI will kill themselves on it every time, for any race.
Problem I have here is that the Vasari will mix in sentinels, which soak up illuminator side-beams while dealing decent damage back and helping out against your strike craft. Unupgraded an illuminator/defense vessel combo will prevail against assailant/sentinel, but a few phase missile upgrades will even it up. Vasari gets a very natural progression towards discharge missiles and subverters, with the option of carriers always being open, leaving you with few options.
Here is what you do against vasari as advent. First, start with progen cap. Level 1 is colinize, 2, 3 and 5 is shield restore, that is your mobile fleet healing, and better than repair cloud for fleets. Second, scout scout scout. Is he going double carrier cap? If yes, you better start researching repair platforms and put at least two on front line planets (you should do this regardless). Next, you get a halycon with telekentic push then extra squadrons. Now, is he getting assailants
That's a lot more effort than an Advent with a few shots of TK push or a Vasari with phasic traps or jam weapons needs to invest. Again, TEC can be quite potent, but you have to put a lot more effort to countering things than Advent or Vasari at the later stages of the game, leaning on a larger fleet with better capital ships to prevail.
I think this is where you are understating TEC abilities. For the anti strike craft, you act as if TEC has a hard time kill
With a battleball and sufficient antimatter, Advent should be able to cleave through a fully upgraded TEC starbase with 20 Destras. Detonating such an expensive installation to kill a mere 20 destras won't be worthwhile, and the Progenitor will survive the blast. On the other hand, TEC has by far the hardest time of the three factions countering hordes of bombers.
Cost of star base with level 1 red button, about 4800 credits, 475 metal, 475 cr
kinda the point? You consider losing a single capitol ship on the offensive, as the game was ending, a weakness? You failed to point out they spent the last hour focusing on the marza and never killed it. I posted that replay to back up the points I made in this thread. That high level TEC caps have game changing abilities, that TEC survivability(notice how long the marza took to die even without fighter support) is the best in the game, and TEC star base killing ability and star bas
only reason my marza died is because my fighters were trapped by vasari phasic traps, and i didnt want to armistice at that point. You notice i killed his level 9 cap and routed the entire planet for the cost one of marza? If you noticed how fast my caps were leveling, easily replaced. As for replacing my fleet, i never lost my fleet, my orgovs needed replacement, but that was about it.
Dunno if this falls into your criteria, but i think this was a really well played game with myself and some of few others regulars. http://www.gamefront.com/files/20400054/4v4+how+TEC+rolls.record
