Docking boons is the second least useful upgrade on the starbase. As tec with 5 military labs, you should have the vastly superiour big red button. if you fleet is in range of docking boons, then your enemy is in the same well as you, thus big red button will do a better job of killing their fleet.

I played several games as advent rebel against tec and advent players, and my ships were taking hull damage while having full or near full shields. I think it might be the culture research that causes this, but i dont know.
Quoting Teun-A-Roonius, reply 56Well that's mainly because of that tech that increases shield regeneration with 100% But it only works it culture and regeneration bonuses aren't even that good in combat...
Advent rebel Protection of the Unity works anywhere, not just in culture. And you are on crack, its an AMAZING tech when you combine it with culture bonuses and the shield techs.

At level 10 I typically have two skill load outs for my anklyon. The primary is level 4 health, 4 anti matter, 4 group shield, 4 furious defense. 2 inspire and impair and 2 disruption field (taken on the last level). I consider this the supporting tank role. The secondardy is 4 health, 4 weapon, 4 furious defense, 4 disruption matrix, 2 inspire and impair and 2 anti matter( taken last). I consider this the unstoppable offensive juggernaut role.

I meant this threat as a Vasari Rebel Mobile Star Base discussion, not the VR titan discussion. The main problem is that even at tier 8, IT STILL COMES TOO EARLY IF YOU RUSH FOR IT . The vasari rebel can turtle, build 8 military labs on 3 worlds (almost always a given in MP games) and have researched the phase jump before anyone could do a damn thing about it. A VR player can get a mobile star base before another person

Ok, I never played vasari rebels in beta 3 because of the OP star base phase jump. So during one of my first games during the release build, I finally got my hands on it. Its absurdly easier to get than a titan. Back in beta 1, the tec titans were powerful, came early, and were extremely hard to kill. The vasari rebel star base mimics those exact some qualities at the moment. First costs. You can get 8 military labs with two asteroids or dwarf planets and your home world. When you fac

It was the very start of the game, nothing was researched, and it flew through space, not taking any phase lanes or use the worm hole, it would of taken it like a hour to get to the other worm hole.

Just started a 2v2 on a random map, set scouts to auto explore, upon reach a worm hole the scout tried to auto explore straight to the other end and started to fly straight to it, the long way, no phase lanes or nothing. Good thing I caught it before it got too far.

Awesome that you killed the desync problem. I just hope you solved the minidump problem that plagued the game since release. I know its a bad comparison, but I can count the time Starcraft 2 has crashed on me on one hand since it came out.

I am going to reply to the OP so I input my 2 cents. Vasari loyalist: I agree with nearly all his points. I personally think stripped to the core comes too early and is too powerful for how early it comes. I personally think nerfing its effectiveness in half then adding a tier 8 research with 3 levels to increase it back to full effectiveness (33% increase per level) In addition, making shipborne labs 1 military/ 1 civ at level 2 will largely solve any imbalance in this

Try setting their attack range to local instead of gravity well. you can even turn make them hold position and park them in the middle of your fleet.

Just played a 6 way ffa on a random map where i noticed when my enemies fleet bypassed a planet with a star base, they didn't recieve the debuff associated with the star base and when they jumped, of course nothing happened.

1 Replies 4,222 Views

Just finished a game where upon using inspire and impair at my planets, neutral planets, and enemy planets and nothing would happen. The sound and effect would show (only, the first time i used it at a enemy world not even that played) and the buff/debuff wouldnt show up on the ships like it used to. And it seems the effects didnt happen as well.

It may not have length, but it has girth. That thing is wide!

I just had this happen to me as well, I thought it was the opponent using a wormhole to sneak in a star base, but when i looked, all my planets were spreading his culture.

Corvettes have their counters, despite being so spammable. 1. Mines. Oh god do mines rape corvettes. Use em, advent can even bring them into battle. Hint: dont place them near the corvettes, send them to somewhere in the well and run your ship to the mines. 2. Meteor storm. Nuff said about this. Lesser counter is red button, but thats iffy. 3. Flak is a counter, but seems ineffective before the corvette swarm does major damage. Its the same as using flak to kill bomber

Save your replays and/or autorecords and send them to stardock. De-syncs are difficult to squash mainly because they have a bad habit of coming back from the dead.

I played a game today with occupation victory and capitol victory enabled. It was a 6 way ffa. One of the players managed to capture the artifact planet, but soon after lost the game after having his home world bombed out. But even after being defeated and leaving the game, he still managed to obtain a occupation victory.

16 kols easily. Someone is forgetting they have a nice high damage attack. IN fact, 16 kols at level 10 is pretty much unkillable by anything in the game

Not completely true Mr haze about offline mode. I remember one time where I lost internet and steam tried to update something, and it would never go to offline mode even with my login details saved. Steam offline is hit and miss. Its why I will never pay full price for anything that uses steam ever again.
