I'd be interested.
sometimes pirate bounty doesn't help you, the pirates may still attack you over and over even if you set a higher bounty.
lol but all he had to do was destroy your broadcast stations. there would be no epic lol's if he had done that. and of course, if he had built broadcast stations of his own, it would have counteracted yours.
sometimes pirate attacks can be a pain, but you can easily win the single player scenarios if you play properly. this is a strategy game, and every ship you build, every structure you build, has to have a purpose, especially early on. you don't want to build things or do researches you don't need or won't use much. early in the game it is important to scout, and capture as many neutral planets and resources as possible, as fast as possible. usually there is only 2-5 ships in each planet at the
basically what most people are asking for is the ability to configure more parts of game play. I think a better graphical map editor should be introduced, where it basically looks like in-game, but you are allowed to click and drag what type of planets you want and where, and what routes are taken to each. I think that aspects of all structures should be able to be edited, as in changing the amount of damage that is dealed by each weapon, shield strength, range for things like jump inhibitor,
um your so called ship spamming is just part of the game, it is strategy. not everyone wants to play sim city. I don't see a problem with it at all. you just need to adjust your strategy to either ship spam back or build defense drones/hangers. if you decide to build ships one level above theirs, odds are you will have less ships than them, and less money to spend on much of anything after doing all of the research. the reason why their strategy works because smaller ships are more maneuver
people leave games. it happens. deal with it. the average person only has 6-8 hours of free time in between work and sleep, so some may not want to waste it like others. personally I'm the type to stay if there is even a remote chance of winning. I don't mind retreating after taking heavy losses, just fall back to the nearest owned planet and mount a defense there. It is much more fun to get almost beat and come back for the win, but it is also very hard to do if your enemy still
note, that sometimes you have to turn down hardware acceleration a notch or two in rare cases also.
well I think it can still be an issue with building things to, because I built one of those long range planetary bombardment weapons, and it stopped at 1% construction. tried to get fabricators to resume, no luck...and I had others built on other worlds no problem, but that one stayed the same until the end of the level.
I'm lucky to get 1 or 2 artifacts out of trying every map in the entire game. seems artifacts for me at least, are very difficult to find.
My problem is simple. your own ships have an AI of their own, meaning they will actively seek out targets if left alone. however, I have a problem with that. say I want to bombard a planet or destroy some structures. well everytime someone jump drives into the gravity well, they always quit what they are doing and go right for that ship, even if it is just one scout, or ships that are turning around to jump drive back out as soon as they jump in. I've tried changing
there are quite a few versions of the x700, with low to high core clocks, small to large memory, etc. if it is the lower end, you will definitely have trouble playing the game on low if you try to zoom in on structures or battles. the max pixel pipelines I saw for the x700 was 4 or 8, and it varies in other specs to. sadly even the 8 pixel pipelines isn't much for todays standards. even the mid-low range cards of today have at least 16 pixel pipelines, which makes a world of difference. rea
where is the textures? you could easily steal realistic textures from screen caps of episodes and pics off the net. if you need any 3d models, I should be able to make them for most ships.
yeah there are plenty of services you can access through the control panel under 'administrative options > services'. most of these you don't need or use. such as wireless config, unless you have a wireless router, or help and support, automatic updates, secondary login, print spooler, etc. these all take up resources in the background. also try disabling indexing service, and try defragging not only your hard drive, but your MFT to, just google 'defrag mft' to find out how. there is a progr
I run this game on an A64-3200 (2.0ghz OC'd to 2.4ghz), 512MB 3-3-3-8 Pc3200 Dual Channel RAM, and an EVGA 8600gt 256MB vidcard. The game runs well on high settings all extras and max AA enabled @ 1360x768 with no slowdowns, except in large battles, and I'm talking about nearing 100 ships, and only when I'm zoomed in very closely on the battle. Considering how cheap these vidcards are and how much cheaper the older versions of the Geforce series are, you can't ask for anything better t
