Weak low level capital ships are easy to destroy. The only useful thing about raider xenophobia is when the pirates are attacking a planet, where you don't have a fleet at. Most capital ships are around level 4(at max for some factions), while the super abilities are only unlocked after level 6. jmuhly I need more info on what do you mean by "your culture just needs to be there in some form". Also sense it only 6 ships every 5 min, is it nothing more then a weak pirate raid every 5 min? I'm mean any system that has a defnse system to take care of pirates, should be able to fight a rebel attack forces.

The AI need more then just being told to not run away so much(I do it is a problem myself). After a 2 battles with AI,I now know why it runs away so much. If any of us build a fleet like it did, we would run away too. The main problem with the AI is that it doen't use comb arms well. This leads to a very weak fleet, even when It out numbers you 3:1. Another thing that needs TEC Insurgency which gives you 6 ships that attack even you, after you gain culture control over an enemy planet(for a faction not know for there culture powers), during a time when most fleet are around 100 ships.

One is Highly attuned Sensors, as you can cut down on the number of scouts, as you can detected all Phase jumps. The main one is Returning Armada which gives you free ships from your Phase Stabilizers Three is phase tunneling, as it gives you the Phase stabilizers, with allows you to move quickly between them(i.e. able to do more with less ships.) Phasic Transmission: allows for an increase in max fleet supply.

My own rebels attacked me too. That why I keep saying that the Insurgency needs to be fixed. First it can be blocked by culture, as your culture most control the planet(for a side not know for there culture powers). But most of all the rebel fleet is made up of no more then 6 ships, at a time when most players fleets are around 100 ships! Even the Pirate attacks are more powerful. To me Insurgency is a waste of time and energy.

I'm just asking to have some more voice acting to be add at the very least. The same old three lines, being to get to you after you hear them 100 totimes over during a game. If my Broadcasting center only boadcast voice, acting, it would be enought. But what I added before was to added more depth to the game, and make the culture end more important.

(Sorry long post) This is a great game hands down, with new depth that I normally don't see in rts today. But there are some problems here and there. I'm one, who uses fighters and bombers as my sword and Battleship(with heavy cruisers supports) as my shield. One time I run with 4 fleets, made up of 2 battleships and two heavy carriers. They are really good for supporting each other when you play as Vasari empire.

First off, the TEC-Rebellion is called Insurgency, and what it does is produce a very weak rebel force that attack every one, including you. Yes you can, and no you are not an idiot. Te thing you need to know, is that the exp. tracking system is on the info card when you put you mouse over the pic of the capital ships, who's states you want to see. There a lot of info in those cards, and it is sometimes over looked, till you study what is in the cards. It normal found between the Shield Mitigation level and the Culture Repel Rate.

The best counter to any spam in Sin is to have a fleet with a better comb arms system. This game is made so will that there is no one type of Uber ship, not even for the capitals. I run in to the same problem when I attacked a pirate base. Sorry, SentrySteve, but I think you misunderstand me. The ideal was not make it impossible to jump, but increase the time need to make a jump if the capital ship was in the system. I was just trying to add more depth to an already deep game. The mouse(fleet trying to jump) would have to choose between target one ship during the fight or fighting it before jumping(ie more time till jump) or waiting while the time need to jump is reached. It a very good ideal and this is coming form one of the people who like the cat and mouse game. So what is need is a tech in each of the factions trees, that has an effect on jumping enemy ships. For me I don't find it ture, that you have to change your combo based on who your opponent is. If you have a good combined arms fleet, then you should be able to take on any opponent, base on how you fight. Just becuase there TEC player's can still use a carrier heavy combo, not just the Advent. I think that those post where talking about people how use that factions bonuses too much. depends on you mean by "offensive force", which could be any of the three race carriers. TEC: against planets, as there embargo can steal from there world. Also heavy fighters as the fighter can take more and deal more damage. Advent: Air superiority, as the adept drone anima increase the number of fighters in each squadron. Vasari: against ships, as the scramble bombers gets you an extra bomber squadron, and the microphasing aura allows for them to evade attack.
