Good point onyhow. So Point defense wouldn't work on kinetic kill weapons? That would mean thatkinetic kill weapons would be long range weapons in laser have beam spread in outer space. So what do you think about my jump drone ideal, onyhow? Also RomanSpy did you play the second battlezone.

I'm not saying that there is stealth in space, we are past that point. I'm asking if Point defense systems, that can be used against missiles, be used against kinetic kill missiles( non engine fired from a rail gun or coil gun type weapon)? I also can see you point in the fighter thing. If we have a PD system that can track and destory missiles, then no matter how fast a fighter is, even if it could jump, it would be destoryed too. I came up with the question, are space fighters and bombers usefull, to answer the question, is there any space fighter and bombers in space. So here my question, do you guy use carriers? There pros and cons to ever type of ship and faction. Ever one runs over the pro, that capital ship are abilitie powerhouse, but do not note that some of the other special abilities, do not effect them. Case and point, all capital ship are note effected by the area disable of the Subverter's distortion field. Thanks onyhow, stealth is useless in combat, if you can not find and the fire at your enemy. Also sense heat energy must go some where, does it mean that your ship will heat up faster then a ship with out stealth? I don't think that the gap between missile and drone(UAV or USV) is very big, onyhow. RIght now people are trying to make a drone that carrys three bombs and fly around the battlefield. I think that the different roles will be based on the min-max range of the weapon and the cost of it and the ammo for its use, USAF-Prometheus. One of the reasons that we still use guns on US fighter is that missile, have a min range in which they can't fire, if the target is too close. But why not replace missiles, with mini guns then? Will the guns have a small max range, and the missiles have a larger max range.

I think that we are all focusing to much on the weapons systems and not enought on tactics and the different types of ship. When they say Carrier frigates , do they mean the Carrier cruisers? Also does this mean that the number of squadrons for capital carrier would be increased as well? Becasue right now were it stands I can get the same number of squadrons for Carrier cruisers as I would a capital carrier, based on supplys only. From what I see, unless there is a reason for there to be different class of ships, then there will only be one class of ship. As producing another class of ship would waste resources in planning, tooling, and building. Case in point would be the battleship, cruisers, destroyer and torpedo boat system of world war 1 and 2. I think that what you are look for, require for your ships to be both in a fleet AND for the stack command to be turned on. Once I had 8 Stilakus Subverter in a stack, while in a larger fleet. I then told the stack to use there Distortion field abilitie on a group of TEC ship(I was playing against the AI at the time). All 8 ship jumped and used there Distortion fieled together. I don't see capital ship as pure support ship. Yes it is ture that they are huge, but a small frigate is just as much a target as the capital ships are. If you destory you enemys firgate, you reduce there firepower faster, while destorying there capital ship, removes there firepower and abilities.
