Dooms, All you need to do is save your map to the Galaxy folder. The default path should be something like: C:/ProgramFiles/StardockGames/SinsofaSolarEmpire/Galaxy If you're using Vista, the files may not show up in-game. See the solution to this on the last page.

Okay... so everything is working like it should, except... "InGameName - The name of the race as displayed in-game if it belongs to the AI" This doesn't work for my. I want this map to contain custom faction names, but the InGameName spot doesn't seem to have any effect. Is this a placeholder for a future update? Or is there something I can do (without having to edit game files) in order to get my factions to display for this map only?
Really? I'll try that when I get home from work. It only takes a few minutes to install. Thanks for the help!
Yeah, Same problem here. I create a map in GF, but it doesn't show up on the map list in game at all. I can't find it when I manually look in the /galaxy folder either, but when I svae/load it in GF I can see it in there just fine. I've created a map with the in-game designer and it shows up... but it's a no-go with GF. I'm running Vista. Anyone know what this could be about? I've put some work into my first map and I'd hate not to be able to play it.
I'm creating my first map, and have a couple of questions: 1. Is there a way to set the amount/type of resource asteroids at a given planet/asteroid/asteroid belt, or is that determined by planet type? I'd like to be able to control which points have crystal, which have metal, and which have both. 2. Is there an easy way to remove/ad enemy militia to a Point of Interest? Example, if I want my player home systems to be completely free of enemies (while still requiring them to
