Hi there! I am not an experienced modder or galaxy forge map designer :-) but I was trying to use forge to link wormholes to adjacent star systems so that ships will not have to jump to the star itself, but rather use the wormhole and this seemes to be more difficult than I anticipated. I noticed that you can link wormholes with a 'wormhole link' within the same star system, but it didn't seem to allow me to do so between star systems. I hope that the error is my own and not with

If a quality product is a determining factor on whether your not some kind of 5 finger discount asshole, what does that say about your own morals? Hi there, I'd like to reply to this comment...I do agree that ideally piracy is a problem for many reasons, but I'd like to put forward an experience that I had. I live in South Africa which has a weaker currency than the US, UK and Euro. Manufacturers of games, cd's, dvd's etc do not reduce their price proportionately wit
Hi there... Well, I hope that, as you say, 1.1 will fix a great many issues and that it will not come too late for many players still keen on playing online. I have, however, noticed a decline in the numbers of people online lately. Perhaps thats just bad timing on my part - perhaps not. I do feel that the unfortunate difficulties that many people have had with port forwarding etc has made it more difficult for players to create games and thus stay interested. I know this topi
What a good idea...this would be a very useful and interesting addition to the game! :-)
Hi guys, I kinda find it a bit annoying that, after completing missions for the AI and giving them resources etc (as they often request), that they still seem to want you to perform missions at the same frequency level as before even if it is not mutually beneficial e.g. attack green when you are fighting it out big time with red and can't really spare the ships. Do you think it would improve the game to perhaps increase the time between mission assignments once you've made an ally (i.e
Opps...meant to say I'd like to KNOW the following...apologies for the typo!
Hello everyone... I am relatively new to forum life :-) and as such I am unfamiliar with the 'karma' rating next to people's names. I see that most people rank 0, whereas others range up to 9 (I haven't yet seen higher than this). I would like to the following: what is the point of this rating, how it is assigned and who assigns it? How does it help you in a forum environment? I assume it is subjectively assigned by an individual or individuals? I know its a
Thanks Retro, I understand your perspective... Despite your disliking such arguments (theRetroboy), people will never stop using reality based arguments because many games strive to emulate reality more and more over time i.e. better graphics and complex economics and AI's for example to make the game more 'believable'. Obviously this is not always the case :-) I can see your point, but respectfully disagree because I am a reality fan :-) a superpower will naturally be abl
Apologies for double post...the second was intended to be an edit - sorry
I've also been thinking about this lately... I think it is more realistic for supply to be tied directly into the number of ships one has e.g. in real life, why would you ever have to build 100 supply ships when your fleet only needs 50 at present to reach full supply levels? (random example) In other games like MOO etc, each ship has a supply value (maintenance) attached to it - if you lose the most expensive ship, you notice an increase in your income because of the loss of the ship's

It is interesting to read all these views... I think it is a little pointless to try to predict future events in this way because so many potential factors could completely change things e.g. the caldera (supervolcano) beneath Yellowstone National Park could put an end to the United States and begin a global ice age tomorrow, or an asteroid could collide with China and change that completely - who knows? One person can change the course of history. I think China has its eyes on Zimbabwe

You need to add a player i.e. make a name for the 'character' you intend to be when you enter the lobby...once you have made a character, you can enter the lobby and hopefully find a game to join :-) I hope this helps...

This is amazing! It reminds me very much of the Star Trek Voyager episode entitled 'The Swarm' in which Voyager encounters the 'nameless' race which lives in billions of little ships! Never thought I'd see it in a game ;-) Has anyone seen that ep / knows the one I mean? :-)

Interesting ideas... Perhaps an option could be added to the game to increase the number of starting planets that a plyer controls e.g. instead of colonizing, start off with 3 or 4 established planets. Perhaps this can already be done - if so please tell me how :-) Blindside (if i remember correctly) starts with your homeworld and a colonized asteroid. I like that because it suits those people looking for a faster game and battles tend to occur sooner than on large maps where y
Ok nevermind...i just saw what u said above about the release...my mistake
This looks like a very interesting mod, my main question is also WHEN? I'm keen to try it. I thought you were the 'Senate' my Great Emperor? "At an end your rule is, and not short enough it was!" Just kidding! :D Keep well.
Yes actually i do have a saved game and screesshots of it! I will reload the game and try to duplicate the effect as well as watch the replay to make sure its ok before I send it in. To answer the above question - yes, I am using 1.04! Thanks for the ideas and input :-)
Yes indeed...that new safety feature sounds good - thank you!
Thanks for sorting all that out :-)
Thanks Vanechka, you've been very helpful during this crazy spamming episode! Just a reminder to everyone that AoH (and I'm sure GE) has nothing to do with the guy spamming the channel, we don't know why he's doing that! So join us in the pirate base!
