The devs have said repeatedly that game engine changes....ie..dual cores, quad ain't gonna happen in Rebellion. That's Sins 2 around 2014. Circle your calendar. And z axis is only a problem for the uber uber small cheaters on multiplayer. Why should the devs waste time on 1% of their game sales. We are the 99%!!!!!! :)

1.34 is the very latest ver of Diplomacy. Some of the most frequently updated mods haven't updated to this ver, so I would suggest trying a more popular mod. Requiem, Sacrfice of Angels 2, etc....and don't forget mods use more ram so you will need to turn down your graphical settings from highest. Unless you will mini dump .
I'm curious at what difficulty everyone is playing at?
This is an amazing mod, and I can't wait for the next version Question: Is it possible for you to increase the ranges the ships engage one another, I mean- when they fight nose to nose it does spoil the whole atmosphere of the mod. Thanks in advance, Sh0k.
agree.
It probably would've got 9.5 or 10 out of 10 had it included a nicely polished campaign mode. I'm surprised, despite numerous expansions and updates, that one still hasn't been added.
Campaigns hold your hand, and tell you where to go when. With a little imagination you can make your own by the hundreds. And once a campaign has been cleared most likely you will put the game away, with Sins you have a
Could pirates gain culture when strengthened? It would be called intimidation and your planets would lose allegiance due to this "threat".
Welcome. You will gets years of enjoyment with the original game and the ton of great mods.
How stupid are you people? Steam is just another outlet for Stardock to sell their product. cd key changes, having to buy twice,I bought Elemental I want the whole Steam catalog for free...No,No,No!!! Congrats..Stardock..you will sell many more...
The number of starbases you can build around stars should be lowered (2), the ai cant handle multiple starbases around stars and its an easy ai exploit. So if starbases are going to be strengthened it will exasperate the problem.
To organic for me.
Yeah, between General and Testing you would have Beta Testing...you'll have to speak to the mod team for real info. Once you do you would click beta testing...welcome beta testers.... and follow....instructions. Play Requiem in the meantime. http://sins.imperial.cc/home.cgi?id=sins or http://www.moddb.com/mods/sins-of-new-eden
go to warlords website and follow the forums, IF you can see beta testing under general your in....follow the downloads to install the SVN updater.
There must be some reason the game was made so you can manually dock s/c, now give me a reason too. ie: increased repairs? Increase ship speed when s/c are docked?
I was thinking more modders time than game profit. [e digicons]:digichet:[/e]
And you guys wonder why the mutiplayer scene is nonexistent. Like flies to a lightbulb........................
If I had a shit load of money, I would pay someone to mod this game just like a mini development team. COME ON!!!!!There has got to be a rich fuck playing this game!!! lol No Their probably making money..... [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e]
I want a random/except feature on the players setup. Example Me TEC...................... Player 2 random/except TEC This way I can setup up games where my adversary is random, but Im guaranted not to face another TEC player.
That said.. The price of gaming..... hours spent playing vs cost, is miniscule compared to every other form of entertainment I can think of.
yeah i see that its somewhat worth it to new people, but what about the people like me who bought the trinity pack for 40 bucks? now i have to buy a stand alone which is only giving a few things. lets be honest, a few new ships. its not a massive rework, its just a small expansion pack. i really don't get it.
Sometimes when your late to the party there is no beer left! I'm no programmer but Sins needs to off load alot of the stuff going on to the idle uber videocards we have while playing this game. This game is cpu intensive, I get that, but can't some of the millions of calculations that the cpu is being flooded with be shared by our idle cards? My videocard doesnt feel the need to even increase it's fan speed! [e digicons]|-)[/e]
I hope the effects get some love after seeing what's possible as far as explosions and missle hits in some of the mods, the simple torpedo effects don't cut it for me anymore.
I think some of you are missing a major point the difference between a single player or multiplayer. A single player I believe plays Sins almost as an RPG and multiplayer plays to win, so I don't think it's a hurdle to get to multiplayer it's just that they are two different types of Sins players.
Well it would change the dynamic of the game, something unexpected is always a good thing. Maybe send a small fleet to take out the super weapon and then leave.
I must be getting old...got up to the FIRST big boss a swamp monster and couldn't be bothered to spend hours beating him, so I stopped playing. As I get older I don't seem to have the time or patience to do RPG's. I still have the desire, just not the time.
double post.
