Im not sure I like nerfing the resource output from stripped to the core, depending on the new numbers it maybe better to keep planets long term rather than strip them... But I will wait to see what the new resource numbers are.

You can't have your cake and eat it too, either we try to balance that or we accept that somethings will remain unbalanced. I just gave IMO a good solution to tech rushing, and one thats actually realistic as well. As for incentives we already have the titan capital, stripped to the core, and summon ships and ship board research. Thats all pretty boss as it stands, a bigger penalty would be nerfing stripped to the core's resource output.(And thus removing the best ince

Can I throw in a request for three tec heavy cruisers, a siege frigate and a light frigate trying to escape from the maw? Maybe with a smaller ship being destroyed for good measure to convey how screwed they are? Thanks!

How about this? Research is drastically slowed down if there are no dedicated labs present. Lets say 25 to 50 percent. Why because they do not have the space on the capital ship that they would in a dedicated lab since, the ship needs to have the space used for other things like weapons and crew.

I like desperation as well, also passive abilities are nice, so yeah, I do like the idea of the titan acting as a planet capital though, though I suppose that could be exploited by stationing it near far flung yet resource rich planets to boost their allegiance to the max... and thus get all the benefits, not even the advent with all their culture techs can do that. ;)

The little side bar that appears at the edge of a planet with ships in the grav well. Click it once to select all combat ships. Click it again, and it will select the non combat ships like colony frigates. Click it a third time and it will select all strike craft.

As the title states did the developers REALLY put in clues as to what the vasari are running from in the games code? The fact we have not seen any legitimate answers is rather suspicious... Nor the fact that the serious modders have not yet found anything either. I certainly hope that little tidbit was not merely to hype the game, because then I would be sad. :(

You know what I find annoying about the shared network? The fact you can't charge a fee based on the ship types and number of ships using your network.... Seriously thats like an epic way to make a fast buck and fairly realistic too, it should be another researchable tech.

Well im a bit torn. Oh one hand since the devs have cracked down and use the banhammer and the almighty lock the forum atmosphere has gotten a lot better, the overall tone of posts more reasonable. The actual fleet on fleet combat is decided within minutes however the games themselves DO last for hours, and just because you manage to wipe out a huge fleet sent at you does not necessarily mean you have victory in your grasp. Then again if you want a long battle send flak against flak, that will take quite some time to determine XD

Yup I have noticed this too, however I use it to my advantage by using to the titans mircojump ability to jump in front of enemy caps trying to leave the system. It often gives me enough time to fire a grav warhead from the space egg, thus trapping them and allowing me to deal with a trouble hit and run fleet.

Its likely due to the vasari capital ships colonize ability running out, E$verytime you colonize a planet with the "space egg" you get extra construction frigates depending on the level of the ability, the numbers and the duration of which they last for goes up with the ability level, when the ability duration runs out the extra builders blow up. You can increase the amount of permanent frigates by upgrading the logistical and tactical slots.

Just how fast are you playing the game then if you can rush to that level? On [i]three[/i] worlds? I play at 1x speed I have no idea how fast most online peoples play but I am assuming its around 2 or 3x If everything is set to max level then I can see how someone would think its rushed.
