lost in space was a tv show before it was a movie. although I don't think there were ever any ships shown, it was pretty low budget IIRC.

Hey everyone. I'm having a problem with my sound. I just built a new computer, and every sound effect in the game sounds like it's coming across a broken FM radio. I don't think it's a sound card problem, because I grabbed the X-fi from my old computer. Anyone else have this problem and have a solution? Here are the important specs: intel Q6600 8800GTS G92 X-fi Platinum (the non X-ram version) Gigabyte P-35 motherboard (onboard sound turned off in bios)
It's still a great game. I've been playing X3 for the past year or so now, but before that I played X2 religiously. There are plenty of mods and addon scripts available for it, so if you get bored with the default game you can try something else. Also, download the bonuspack before you start the game, it adds alot of stuff. The single player portion is pretty short, but it gets lengthened by the fact that you need to make some money to get better ships in between missions. T

Fighter/bombers: seemed to be good at taking out other fighters as well as frigates Frigates: forward firing weapons only, carries no fighters. these seemed to make up most of the fleet.
