Ya I just uninstalled the impulse beta, and everytime I open this I get the minidump. I made sure the user.setting file is correct.
I would love to help with that. I just don't know how to actually change the icon as it appears on the empire tree... is it covered in any modding guides? If you told me how to help you with that i would be more than willing. Keep up the great work
Would it be possible to change the ship icons so when you're zoomed out you can tell them apart? Currently they all look like the same frigate if you just look at the icons.

I keep getting an errorlog of impulse activation, but when I try to open it it seems to open okay. The window is there, it just remains black and not responding forever. Is this an activation problem? I have tried reactivating.
I recently bought Impulse from Stardock, and confirmed the payment, but afterward I got a weird error log in the form of a text file. It said that the activation didn't work because the registration code didn't match up or something. I think that people should take the whole economic side of the game out, and see what it is like. You should only be able to have out a certain number of ships at the same time, and don't need to research first. This way the players would act more as military commanders, and less as emperors. So, I looked in several tutorials, new and old, and have not yet seen a simple description of how to import a .mesh file into the xsi mod tools. Its relatively easy right now to do it a different way, I just modify it and name it something different, then delete the original one and rename mine to the original one. But I think it might be read only. Thanks for all your help
So I downloaded the total mod tool set and opened up the pdf for creating simple mods by editing the gameinfo text. (I have the new .entity files that are text writable) There is one problem. When I try to save a .entity file after editing it, I choose to overwrite the original file, and it says it can't, because the access is denied. What's up with this? I can delete the .entity files fine, and I can create .entity files and modify them, I just can't overwri

I have a problem with mods. Everytime after I activate a mod it gives me a "runtime error" message and the window closes. (note: doesn't say anything about a minidump) I have tried this on multiple mods, and made sure their locations were the correct path. Does anyone know how I can fix this? thanx
