A quick gist of what Im lookin for if your not in a reading mood... Ideas for basic planetary / ship related eye candy ( not modelling / graphical ), what sort of ideas and concepts have you come up with and how have you implemented them. Balancing ideas / issues with Caps / Frigates, how have you balanced out your fleets and bases, what values have you used and such. Boshimi336 Sorry mate no replay :( Is almost impossible to actually tell who is winning without zooming out and even then it looks like a series of 'clusters' just spinning around the place. The most impressive part was watching the faster moving ships start up their own little cluster on the other side of the main battle. I have since upped the damage of the LRM frigates as in my opinion they indeed should dominate a battlefield as artillery and force the decision to engage them
Currently my main objective is to get the AI to favour the construction of Cap Ships over the other types of ships, is this possible to do? If so how? Next im attempting to tweek the AI priorities in ship construction / research and all that jazz. Has anybody come up with figures that creates a fairly strong and tough computer AI? Also open to any other suggestions for improving their overall perfermance. Thx
Would it be possible to alter lines of the... TECH Guass Defense platform PSI Beam Platform PHASE Missle Platform to basically allow them to move within the gravity well in which they are built. Im looking at having them move incredibly slowly with a slow turning arc. I have currently been modding and altering a tonne of stats within game so that I can play to my expectations and after playing the Dynamic Mod I decided to include it in my personal version. Thanks kitkun found it, simply played with the StarbaseToughness upgrades now they are what I would call a starbase.
Having just started to play around with a few settings on starbases I am wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. Simply, I want to increase the hitpoints / shields of a starbase to make them actually feel much more like a starbase. Aswell as raise their weapon damage. While I have an idea on the damage I cant seem to figure out what to change for increasing its shields and hitpoints.
