Hello thar. Are there any mods compatable with Diplomacy 1.2 that up the fleet sizes a little bit? I scoured a little through the forum and saw a topic that was made last year or some such and I tried to use that one, but it's been long dead, so if anyone could point me to a mod that just ups the fleet size, I'd be very grateful.
! Oh you just gave me a million credit ? I'm going to attack you, not the target you want me to !
You could probably make it so that the player would have to carry out the mission or objective or whatever before he gets the payment. Like the current bounty system where you don't get the money unless you kill ships/structures and such.
Well, then I apologize for my remark. It's just that most of the "Federation>Empire" people I've seen/run across tend to be the rabid "TREK=GOD" type. Not the reasonable kind of thing. Though, I'm curious, why does "millions of star systems" equate to less appeal for you? It seems logical, does it not, that eventually an interstellar power will grow strong enough to encompass a substantial portion
Whisky- yes. You are right. Given your analysis, the Federation would lose to the Empire. I simply did not know all of those details. I love both franchises, but I tend to favor Star Trek more because I don't like the "exaggeration factor" of Star Wars. I know Star Trek isn't realistic, but that just makes Star Wars so much less appealing for me because they have "millions of star systems". But really. You feel sorry for me? Grow up. Your entire post was fine until that childi
The only thing I can take issue with is the "Federation victory". Which sadly is impossible. But, the Federation does have an advantage: its insignificance compared to the Empire, thus making it unlikely that it would ever be invaded in the first place. But if it was invaded then it wouldn't be much of a fight. Raw firepower>technobabble. Other than that, certainly interesting idea.
There is an option for when you're choosing the type of planet in a particular cluster to be Desert- Home.
Question. It says a 7 zip zip utility is needed to unpack the mod, but the link is working but it says the file can't be accessed publicly. Is there another place I can download whatever is needed to upack the mod? And another thing. I downloaded the mod for Entrenchment 1.051 because there isn't a mod for Diplomacy 1.2. Can I get the mod for Dip 1.2?
Very nice. And here I am afraid of fighting even a normal AI opponent. :P
How do you register the game? Also, when I click on update game in the start up menu, it takes me Impulse, and at the bottom, it says "This version of Impulse is outdated. Please update your copy." How do you do that?
Now I have a toolbar thing at the bottom of the screen. I have no idea how Impulse works. All I want to do is do download the updates, but I don't even know where to find them all. Do I have to download ALL the updates, or can I just download the latest version?
Ok then. Now, where can I find all of the updates? Can someone give me a link or something?
Do I have to individually download all the updates, or can I just download 1.16 (or whichever is the last one) and still get all the information? Sorry if it's a dumb question. I'm a noob when it comes to computer games and such.
I'm having similar problems. I'm playing on a big map against 3 A.I. players (all easy and random). There are 3 stars. In the star I'm in, there's me and another AI and I don't know about the other 2 cause I haven't explored them yet, but the 2 out-of-star AI come to my star and attack my colonies without even going to the other guy's.
I do. My home planet is always named "Homerun," my first asteroid is always called "Rock" (creative, I know :-P), my first volcano planet is always called "Volcanoes," and the names of the ice planets and desert planets usually vary between names. When I play as TEC, I always use either the Kol Battleships or the Carrier and I always name my Battleships that have an adjective and then animal, such as "Hungry Animal" (which I name my first battleship), "Fiesty Animal", or something. I
I'm in South Carolina, and my brother is in North Carolina, and we want to play this game together, but we can't get on IC online. We enter our CD keys where it tells us to but it keeps saying it's the wrong version of ironclad online or somesuch. In my CD key, there's some zeroes and O's but I can't tell the difference between them. Is there any visual distiction? Also, how can we play from clicking the regular multiplayer tab? Is that exclusivly for LAN games?
