In the Beta version, the storyline was all about the Vasari being given birthright to all the territories in the universe (or something like that) I think the developers just watched too much Stargate and went on a crusade against the False Gods of the universe :) :D

If you modify the code and reload a saved game, not all the stats will transfer over, and the ones that do will sometimes not work properly... So if you modify the game AFTER saving, then that saved game will be somewhat unpredictable... I used to do that, but I noticed it wasn't transferring my abilities over, so I reprogrammed the GalaxyScenarioDef to give me a mid-game level of ships, so that I could test it faster (also the developer version of SINS is good for this)

I had the opposite problem once, I took over everything but an asteroid, but the game gave me victory having not taken it (it was upgraded, so it wasn't a problem with insufficient credits, and the AI NEVER use all their resources!)

Oh... and the secret to winning as TECH is to take planets fast and KEEP taking them! Don't bother stopping at choke-points, just use them as pivot-points! Just pack your outer planets full of defenses to scare away the AI players)... The constant attacking will gain you allies pretty fast, and when you have half the galaxy to yourself, park your fleets on their homeworlds send your allies to attack the pirate base in the center where they will wipe each other out! (Of course you couldn't understand it (it was in German), just kidding :) :D ) seriously though, if you wanted to make more labels, you could use those web translators and such (but you already know where they are, and see how useful they really are :) :D Anyway, since SINS has versions of itself for many languages, then maybe the string files could be matched up as a translator (or you could just load in a different language and get a crash course in that language :) :D<b

Get the 1.05 Text files for modding, and read through all the program files that sound interesting (start in the GameInfo folder, and have a quick look through) After that, put the 1.05 text files into the modding folder, make a copy and start messing around with them.
