My only wish is that the defence grid be shaped like a grid... ...I want the computer to auto-place point-defence cannons on the intersections of the tactical grid lines... ...instead of, or in addition to the standard circle auto-placement...

In simple terms, I can make SINS meshes using mathematics (like on NUMB3RS) Carbon: turn your flame down (it's been on a couple of weeks now)... In the past month you attacked several modders: Mcandrew420, MajorStress, myself I'm making this because XSI crashes my computer, and I want to do SINS meshes... Also, if you import my output into XSI, then you can do more stuff, that's a good thing... ...It's not a replacement for people who like XSI, but it does churn out mesh

Usually people are just creating a new mesh in one of the 3D programs (XSI), and then have the 'Entity' file point to it... Someone did convert all the SINS capital ships to 3DS-MAX format though, I forgot where it was, but I saw it here somewhere... Or you could just use ConvertXSI, in one the SINS mod packs!!!

If you look at the ability for the SOVA combat turret (or the siege turret), you can copy that ability and make it spawn something like a frigate with weapons, with say, 500 hull points... In the ability, set the "expiry" time and the "cooldown" time to 200 seconds... In the frigate, set the explosion effect to "Fighter0" or "" (blank) if it takes it, since it will destroy itself when it expires...

I just finished converting (by hand) my [B][I]Space Mine[/I][/B] mesh, and was able to create a valid set of UV mapping points to give my design the look it needed... My solution was to use Hangar Functionality on the base itself, and have the base spawn stationary weapons pods that have weapons on them... ...you get the best of both worlds...
