I would like to see nuclear missiles as an option in space combat. (see Battlestar Galactica)
There's a BIG difference between a sin in the eyes of God, and socially unacceptable behavior.I think someone in Rome seems to have forgotten that. (Along with a LOT of other people.)I think I'll just stick with the good ol' Ten Commandments, thanks. Anyone still remember those?
Nope, I think they got mixed in with preaching how every single part of your life needs to be in accordance with their secondary presuppositions.
Genetic modification-Stupidest of all. Hey, let's continue having cancer so we can obey the whims of a vague proclamation of sins as defined by the so-called proxy of a Cosmic Jewish Zombie. Human experimentations-Sounds ominous, but it's really not. I guess the doctor who did the first open heart surgery should burn in hell. Gimme a break... Polluting the environment-Taking it a bit too far. Financial gluttony - How is gluttony defined? If you are successful in life,
Counters are not as clearly defined as, say Rise of Nations. So yeah, good luck.
The world ends.
why would you want random races?
C) Go play Star Wars: Empire at War
I have had no problems with this.
You just have to be patient, one time I got utterly shafted with heavy militias at the neighboring terran/desert planets, & only one easy to clear asteroid in reach. Another time I got 2 asteroids, with the joke militia of 2 cobalts/1 siege/1 flak for the icy and volcanic nearby. I mean that is why you are playing random isn't it? So it doesn't get repetitive, right?
Progenitor 2nd cap is usually a Halcyon
Vasari: I actually think all of their capital ships are rather worthless. I find it more effective to run around with Sentinels, Transporters, and Enforcers. Whenever I play Vasari I always start with a Devastator and build a bunch of them. I will rarely build a Carrier, Evacuator (this is the ugliest ship in the entire game), or Desolator. I never build a Marauder because I find that to be beyond useless. I normally don'
well, it doesn't really surprise me anymore because the behavior is a repeat offense at this point, but the first time i saw this happen i was incredibly surprised.the AI will routinely abandon economically important planets to reduce damage to their fleet. you can show up in a grav well, destroy all of the trade posts, broadcast centers, and extractors, and then leave. the AI will not try to bring in a fleet to stop you. if they have an existing fleet there they will run away to an adjac
Exactly, the common traits of a good RTS player aren't required to be good in Sins. I am by no means saying Sins is a walk in a park (quite the opposite actually), however certain traits such as aggressiveness do not pay off as much in Sins, especially with the massive maps and slower pace of the game.
That is odd. I have an old P4 HT and it tanks this game like a pro for some reason. Its actually quite possible it would keep up with modern processors, as basically these newer chips are only better due to the multiple cores. So a P4 3.2ghz may actually perform 75% as well as say a C2D6750, simply because of the high clock rate.I'd want to do some tests on this actually, to see whether its the case
I have it clocked at 3.4 It had serious problems with Supreme Com
I'll try that next I guess, for Advent I've only used the Radiance/Halcyon. Though I agree, the Sova's embargo can be brutal.
I know this has probably been posted, but I'd like to know what everyone likes to start with. I start with a carrier usually...however I know some people like to use a Colony cap to avoid the retarded antimatter problems of the colony frigate. I'm pondering using it, but I really don't feel like having my best and most experienced cap ship as something that plays a secondary role in combat. Opinions? And no I don't really play Vasari that much, so don't go on about how the Evacuato
Ranking systems won't work but promote a more elitist cult of gamers who only play with certain people and kick anyone else out that threatens their rank. Such as someone with a high rank will group up with higher rank people and boot people that are too high rank not in their team. I've seen this several times before on different games and Sins will be no different, its a terrible idea and the current system is good as is. You'll get someone with 0-0 games played, expect a easy win and t
I still think it's horrible for a few reasons. 1) Graphics don't make a game (at least not in my opinion) 2) The multiplayer gameplay is horrid. (I never touch SP for FPS games, nor do I intend to, so you could go on about the SP, which is what you seem to be implying, however multiplayer makes an FPS. That is why I never even glanced at Bioshock. 3) Immersion? You mean shell-shock and other cute little things such as ricochets, the sound? Again, these trifles do not m
It makes sense. Screw WoW. Screw Crysis-like games with super graphics. And bring some depth and originality back into PC gaming (Sins has already done an exceptional job with this)...I can even play Sins with my shitty processor, which makes me want to go over to Stardock HQ and hug the dev team affectionately in a non-homosexual manner. And yes consoles are horrible, but so are games like Crysis and WoW. A great example of the dumbing down is the Ca
I like the TEC because of the massive money they can churn out. Favorite cap ship is the Halcyon though.
At least it will be x1000 better than Empire at War.
Explain to me exactly how a ranking system would even work in Sins? I mean you have small, medium, large and custom maps. then you have games with and without pirates. You can almost win the game with a good economy and using the Pirates. However I do agree with the AI being updated to surrender. But i just see that a rankings system could be/will be a bad situation in Sins. Now if they implement a system where you could start with a really small map maybe say 6 planets and every player h
Make the end of the game official to whom? And even though the devs say "it's a slow game;'real time' strategy" doesn't excuse poor game mechanics and little to no incentive for playing the game. At this point I'll do a fun game a week and use it at LAN's, no more, unless some form of ranking and tracking system comes later. They need to get this stuff fixed and implemented, alot of the multiplayer gripes I have could have easily been implemented before launch. SupCom is popular for a rea
Civilian ship safety act (if you need that, it just tells me you are ready to fall apart) Some of the beginning policy research options related to diplomacy as someone said demo bots I delay researching health bonuses, preferring to focus on armor/shields.
That is odd. I have an old P4 HT and it tanks this game like a pro for some reason.
