well you could try not updating till you finish your game. But the reason why updating ruins the saves is cause some of the data that makes the game go round changed and doesn't match whats going on in your save. its pointless to yell about things had to change and change is good. Try to finish your games before you update thats all i got.

it does damage as long as the ship produces antimatter. specificly for suport ships, capitals, and LFs. Not sure if the amount of AM present effects how much damage is done though.
