Yeah I hope so too. The current game is great fun but there are so many ways it could be expanded upon to make it even better. Modding sounds like fun but I really don't have the time to get into the nitty gritty details of programming. I know for a fact that much hair loss would result if I had to fix a minidump issue. A big focus of Escalation is changing the combat system to better support smaller fleets. The total number of ships in combat wouldn't be much less. But the ships under your control will be organized into groups that you have more control over. Each fleet can be linked to others to form a chain of command. Strike craft are meant to be deployed in squadrons. The max number of craft per squadron is 8 for TEC and the max number of squadrons per hangar varies but is usually 1. In the earl
Say what? This is like refusing a coke because you like pepsi. Only if someone takes a sharpie and writes "pepsi" in big block letters on the coke can you have no problem with it.
So if you discount the bonus gained with items Regulus is not overpowered compared to any other DG. Thought I do agree the mines are a bit too powerful. Mines are supposed to be a trap, but the way he uses them makes them more of a very powerful grenade that delivers a big spike of damage.
This problem is my biggest problem with the game. Basically what happens is singleplayer favor points do not carry over to multiplayer. The moment you win a multiplayer game those favour points are stored on your impulse account. They will remain persistent for any later games. The problem is this blanks out your singleplayer achievements and replaces them with whatever achievments you have earned online. This is EXTREMELY agrravating because I use singleplayer to try out strategies and te
Isn't the Halcyon shaped like a fleur de lis? That shape creeps me out ever since I played Soul Caliber 2. My friend would always pick Voldo.
Tamren, So why than there not that much pirates with GalCiv ? As for Spore - you contradict yourself, Spore was under strong DRM and pirated all over.
Eh? Whats your point? The fact that Spore had DRM demonstrates that extra effort was made to keep the game "pirate proof". Effort that was obviously wasted and pissed off an incredible amount of people.
This is a frustrating problem when you are actually playing rook because when you are targetting say, hammer slam, the red outlines of enemies behind you no longer show. I have been killed many times just because enemy DGs warped in at my feet and I couldn't see em until it was too late.
I would very much like the ability to back out of supporting one side. The catch is that when you leave a side all of your contribution gets deleted.
The only imbalance I can see with Regulus is that snipe can still target people who move out of range or that he can no longer see. I have sniped people in the middle of teleporting back to spawn and the bolt did a 180 and killed them way over at their base on the other side of the map. Otherwise Regulus is not impossible to beat. A comparably equipped/levelled Unclean Beast tends to eat him alive.
I don't know what people are doing to get actual crashes. My game "freezes" every now and then but ONLY in the spots where it is trying to connect to something or other. Outside of the expected multiplayer issues I have not had a single crash. The only "problem" I have is that if I turn V-Sync on my CPU chokes on the larger maps.
There are lots of pirates because Stardock stuck to thier guns and did not put DRM in Demigod. Its as simple as that. So what if there are lots of pirates playing Demigod! There are probably a hundred times more pirates playing Spore. This comes as no suprise because we expected it all along. The reason the number of "real" customers listed is so small is because only a fraction of the whole is bothering to play multiplayer. Hard bots are more than adequat for a fun play experience an
With the current control scheme I agree, there would be a lot of little ways to automate the system that should reduce micromanaging. Unfortunatly all I can say at this point is that I wouldn't stop improving it till it worked. But small changes would help a lot, even with vanilla Sins. Currently you can only pick squadrons for capships and cruisers after they have been built. Since squadrons are currently free there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to pick them while the ship is in con
For me it would be a random single star huge map. I don't like multi-star maps because it takes too long get around.
In fairness, DotA was also a free, fan-made mod project. The bar should be higher for a professionally constructed $35 game, even if I disagree with the particular bar that the original poster is trying to raise.
But it is. DOTA didn't have any story whatsoever. Demigod has very detailed backgrounds for each character. Since one "tournament" is essentially a full game what would you have them say for each round? Its hard to expand o
DOTA didn't have a story either. Demigod, like Sins has a deep story that is recorded as lore. We still have yet to see it play out in the actual game space. But really Demigod doesn't need one. You are a demigod fighting all the other demigods to become a god. What is there to tell? The victory cinematics are fun to listen to and they are about as much story as you need.
Edit button is your friend [e digicons][/e] Also that is a good idea. Every aircraft carrier worthy of the name has craft packed ass to elbow in some space or other. Usually this means lining them up somewhere on deck that does not block the launch ramp. There is no reason we couldn't do this with Sins carriers as well. Strike craft from another carrier could land in a hangar bay to be rescued. The worst possible scenario is that there is no room to store the fighter, b
What I don't get about it is if you target it against enemy ships or friendly ships that recently got destroyed? And whenever I turn it to autocast it just fires off whenever the cooldown is ready, no matter what my fleets are actually doing. The tooltip could be better.
People call them eggs? The first thing I thought when I saw one was "kinder suprise". It has a delicious filling and lots of deadly toys inside. Looking at the Sova from this angle I'm surprised more people don't call em cheese graters. My favorite is definitly the Kol. First capship I ever used.
The way I see it. The chance of an Earth like planet being created is pretty small. The chance of life forming on Earth was even smaller. The chance of us evolving into the humans we are now is even smaller than that. But here we are, using our telescopes to explore the universe. The universe is JUST SO DAMN BIG. We already know life happened once, there is no way it couldn't happen again.
If having a more polished experience is so important to you then just put the game down for a month and play it later.
Edit: Got my ass kicked by the nightmare Demigod AI, its rigged! Rigged I tell you! [e digicons]:S[/e] Anyway came back to do some spellchecking. Sorry for the lack of updates but I just got my hands on Demigod and it is every bit as awesome as I hoped it would be. The multiplayer is still iffy but at this point watching it get fixed is like watching the paint dry on a masterpiece. It is happening, it will be finished eventually, and in the mean time the painting alread

I'm still playing through Exile 1 which I never finished but my favorite memory was using simulacrum to spawm vahnatai lords. Took me over 10 minutes of saving and
