scouts early game are yber, you cant belive how many players i have fuckked up with scout swamr, who rushed to lrm's
ra is only an issue when it hits 1+ hour mark. Vasari will be least effected by fleetsuply penalties due to it. Anyhow, advent can take full RA spawned fleet with only half of the fleet capacity used. Thats because advents capital ships are just beter than anything else.
scouts If you cant/dont have minerals and crystals for anything else. Or need something to counter them fast, spamm scouts. If you are tec, you can upgrade them with time bombs, so after you killed illus, you go and gankk the buildings aswell. so in short, scouts.

BTW, lazuraks are best carriers anyway lategame. Most durable fighters and bombers and more DPS. Also small squads reinfore faster. Dvent got the total shaft.. again :D

you scout to see what enemy is doing. It is VITAL and first ship you can push out is scout. you can scout enemy planet in small maps before he can get his first capital out in most cases. that shuld give more than enought time to prepare. lvl 3 sova cost 2750 rusher needs to eat alot of your planet income before he is on positive again. if you dont scout your enemy, you deserve anything you get, preiod. And yes ive been beated by players that anticipated

in fixed maps, you can send scout to enemy planet asap and see him coming those 4 jumps away. If you see sovan built, you got still time, build 2 hangar defenses, and your own sova if you so damn please. This is not sim city in space, planets are secondary. Your mission is to piss into other layers cereals, not colonise planets. Planets, credits and all that are just means to an end, killing enemy. Dont forget, that other player must spend 2750 credits on that so
Dont forget that if they phasegatse dont work as phaseline nodes for 5 minutes after summon, you will lose some mobility. and this will force you to have some gates unsummoned. Lets say you take one starsystem with 15 planets. you will want to have atleast 2 of the gates constantly workking incase of emergency. If the map have wormholes, even more. So maybe in 15 planet system you will get 11 phasegates that you want to summon constanly, or you will take risk
Embargo rusher take grate risk. if he fails at it he will be set back for many minutes to come. I see it as usual fault of the player itself who die to embargo. When i scout someone that is 4 jumps away from me building 2 civic research labs, well, he will die same to sova as to LRM rusher and he just deserve to die, period. End of discussion, case closed. This said. Internet is full of bad players, and embargo rush is usualy emplyed by the more advanced
well easiest way to try to balance this without touching anything else is making one phase gate/well that will force vasari to expand a bit instead of stacking 3-4 gates in systems. I realy dont see the problem of RA if its only 1 gate/well. Also make the "phaselane" ability disabled for 5 minutes if you summon RA from that gate. This will add traveling time. and you got more time to do damage to vasari when you destroy one of his fleets before you get swaremd
