Quoting Hettikus, reply 11Tridus: well at least you have choice, right? And if ISP shapes ALL encrypted traffic... i'll just vote with my rouble(dollar, euro, etc) and switch to another ISP. Here we actually have torrent retrackers for large ISP networks There were some ISP's , who blocked torrents. None survived. I've got a choice between the cable monopoly, and the phone monopoly. If they both do

Quoting GiganGigan, reply 14At which time will it be released exactly? No exact time, but count on around 1-2 pm EST as that's the customary release window for stuff. Sometimes it happens earlier, but not often.
1-2 est I can handle :D

please for the love of god release the patch NOW. I'm losing my high speed internet tommorow because I'm moving to a location where I get 28.8 dialup at best and while it IS possible(or at least was, we'll see with the patch) to play sins on the connection onlne(albeit with some serious lag) downloading the several hundred mb patch is going to be impossible >_

That could certainly make things very interesting... I myself encountered an issue like that with my local telecom(thought they'd already charged me, but they hadn't, had to get a new CC#, ended up getting billed 2 months at the same time by the time I got everything straightened out). While I appreciate the concept of this attempt at customer friendliness, when I pre-order something I want the money to be GONE so that I can't accidentally spend it on something else. Th

My wish list for impulse is to not be forced to use it in order to update my game.... since sins is the only thing I really use it for, its way, way to clunky for just one game. I'm sure that once more content is available on it it won't be as bad... but for now, I'd really like a shtml login page that I can use to download my patches >_

On the subject of DRM... Online activation should never be required unless I A) want to play multiplayer and it involves logging into game publisher servers or B) want to download the game again. CD keys work well for this, and note I said game publisher servers, LAN doesn't count, there should never be a need for everyone to have a seperate copy at a lan party >_<. Sins has done great with this aspect, props. Any other DRM is unacceptable, and, quite frankly, pointless. Spore was

Oh and I am worried that they're going to sell the expansions only through Impulse. Does anyone have answers on that?
These are good but I think the number 4 is not followed through on. Sure you can deactivate Impulse but it still forces itself to be run in another way. I love Sins was really looking forward the 1.1 patch and now the expansions. But since all of these will be available on impulse only it is forcing those who want new content to use that. Now this is my complaint. I have dial-up internet and can access nothing else.
I would also appreciate staff not yelling at me like a 3 year old when I know perfectly well what I'm doing. To be fair... turning off your page file is an extremely unusual way of improving your performance, and were I in his place (I have a LOT of computer knowledge) I would most certainly shout at you the same way. I would assume, correctly or incorrectly, that you were a kid who has no idea what he's doing, as turning off one's virtual memory is ill-advised in most situations.

How does Vista handle the Xi-Fi? Not that I ever intend to "upgrade" to that shoddy OS...Out of curiosity, What is it that makes you think vista is this shoddy OS you speak of. Is that statement based on personal experience with vista or are you just repeating things you`ve read on the net? I run a creative X-fi on vista home premium, It performs beautifully. ummm, vista handles the X-FI about as well as it handles anything... which means... depending on what other hardware you have in

Campaign is being added in an upcoming xpac... I still don't know why people care about this so much... honestly I don't think I've done more than 2 or 3 missions out of an RTS campaign since the original warcraft. This is the best RTS I've played in ages. It doesn't really need a campaign... even for SP, which I'm limited to at the moment for the most part. I've gotten a LOT of mileage out of just the scenarios vs AI. Though its not entertaining anymore with less than 9 unfair AIs on f

ummm, vista handles the X-FI about as well as it handles anything... which means... depending on what other hardware you have installed... good luck. Fortunately vista is going the way of ME. MS has windows 7 in the works now. They're FINALLY taking a page out of the Linux book and scaling the kernel down. This should make it much more stable, more secure and have less issues with hardware. Most of which should be fixable by a HW vendor driver patch rather than MS having to fix their ow

I did buy a guinea pig once... and had one given to me before that... I bought the second one because I saw some kids poor mother considering buying him one... it became my cats favorite thing in the house for the next few hours :)

simple, on board sound doesn't have its own sound processor, everything is running on your CPU, but thanks to having a dual core processor the audio codec is running completely off your second core. Thats why it looks more balanced. Also since its an audigy its actually offloading some work to the processor. Since those came out before dual core processors became real popular, they don't have any kind of dual core support built in, and its automatically unloading the little bit of extr

Rubber bullets! leaves a bruise but won't kill 90% of the time, assuming you don't hit them directly above their heart or in the temple, the first can cause heart failure/heart attack and the latter will just outright kill(most likely, survivable, but not easily survivable) There, non-violent way to shoot someone. These CEOs on the other hand need to be taken out back and shot point blank with hollow points in an m16, full clip for each of them. Now theres a violent shooting.

I've played online with a 28.8 dialup connection. So I can safely say that you should be able to play online w/ sattelite. Multiplayer games can last anywhere from 30 mins to days... depends on the size of the map you play. Not as fast as starcraft, but if you stick to 1v1 or 2v2 maps its not that long either. Hope I helped :)
