My main capital ship is always called "The Defiant", regardless of race. As for other names? Advent: Arkwright, Flux, Eclipse, Fenrir, Thunder, Lightning, Shine, Aura and Luna. Bonus points to anyone who gets the references. I rarely play other races, but when I do, I play TEC, and I always use "SA Normandy" [e digicons]\o/[/e]
Nothing short of fifty plus anti-fighter frigatesSee, what no one seems to realize is... 50+ anti-fighter frigates are pretty damn cheap. Both in terms of fleet supply and resource cost. They're FAR cheaper than the amount of resources needed for carriers.
But no-one uses them. At least, not against me. Most people prefer to counter strike craft with strike craft (which does work). But no, strike craft should not

I will actually say that this is brilliant for the moderaters. I think everyone on the dev team (who isn't bringing us the precious entrenchment) will know of this program and be finding a way to prevent it by this evening. What would you call it? Its sort of crowdsourcing, maybe, but its not exactly the crowd thats highlighting the errors. Can we call it mobsourcing?

With enough research, you can also use it as a spy device. Enough research, of course, being the... thingy that lets you see things under your culture. And enough of them (ie, 3) can fairly rapidly (fairly rapidly in Sins time (this is the same as geological time)) flip a planet if fired repeatedly, even if that planet has a number of broadcasting station of their own. Probably the best thing about the "Love Me device" is that it affects multiple planets in an area, damaging all of their eco

Heh. For me, its fine. Then again, I have my ships painted bright green. I can see that those with navy blue ships may suffer.

Yeah, I just got mine off the internet (UK here, too). As long as you just download it and don't get the package, its no extra fee for postage, though you'll probably have to leave your computer while it downloads for a few hours. For the record, I got the boxy version. Its a good game ;) . My CD hasn;t come through yet, but I downloaded it when I bought it, so I'm already playing.

I assumed it would be something like that. I don't care that it hasn;t been removed, I just wanted to know whether it existed.
It's goal is to just show you, where you can easily see it, exactly what artifacts you have which are working currently. It's easier than looking at each individual planet, right?
Nooo! No-one understands my plight! Its nothing in game! Surely you've either won/lost(/other?) a game in sins before? Have you trawled the charts showing game data such as fleet sizes and credits earned? Under the "empire" screen, where you have things such as culture percentage, theres

Thanks for the star to star help. As for artifacts - I've fully explored every planet in a multi-system map and found 8/9 artifacts and a whole plethora of passive benefits. No, I'm talking about after the game is finished, on the game statistics screen (you know, with charts of money, fleets, capital ships, etc. On the "empire" tab, there is a heading labeled "artifact research" thats obviously quite different to the "planet exploration upgrades" chart on the "planets" tab. I have

1. What is artifact research? Its on the empire tab in the end game results, and despite having found all but one artifact in one game after exploring every planet (must you have all 9 to conduct it?) and researching EVERYTHING, I've yet to see anyone, human or computer player, get even a single point in this. 2. When traversing between solar systems, can people end up anywhere, or do they just end up at either a sun or a wormhole? I'm trying to work out where I should put my major defens

And, of course, firing between systems has its disadvantages. I fired a whole volley at another system in a single player 10 player map. I got really worried later when some of my planets kept blowing up, and invested in planetary shields, until I realized that I was just getting a backlog of my own novalith cannon fires which I had forgotten about due to them being fired half an hour ago, when I was starting to colonize those worlds. :) Anyway, I don't want to see it removed, or even
Reverie doesn't make your ship invincible. It simply breaks after your ship takes a certain amount of damage.
Huh... My ships refused to attack a ship that had reverie cast upon it... is this a bug? (That was my only capital in the fleet at the time, so it can't have been another cap ship power.)

Its a little known fact, but the Vasari actually found out eons ago that mano-technology was impossible - the forces involved destroyed any nanotech they built within seconds. However, not to be deterred, Vasari scientists decided to exploit people instead (as is their wont) and set about creating a powerful shrinking device. Because people were pre-made, they worked much better at nano-size, and with mind altering microdrugs could be controlled easily. Now, normally, the Vasar

It depends. I mean, if you use them correctly, glaciers can be quite useful. On the info-card you should find out that they give you a 30% boost to tradeports, so naturally my planet I found that on was entirely saturated in tradeports before long, and bringing in 40 credits per second for my efforts. Some are less useful, some are more. Same goes for artifacts - some just make phase jumps quicker or more efficient. However, some give you a 25% damage increase, or boost your antimatter
Ion Bolt - Oh here we go. The second worst ability in the game, right in front of Flak. Sounds great doesn't it? Paralyze an enemy ship and get some real damage on it - oh what's that? At Level 3, it ONLY LASTS 7 SECONDS? ARE YOU SERIOUS? Hahhahahahahahh! The only reason it's better than the Flak ability is because it can disable a phase jump. Aside from that, this is a complete joke. For comparison, the Advent's "Reverie" ability does the exact same thing, consumes less antimatter, and l
