well I can run other games on this resolution without any problems and usually synced up to 60 FPS. high resolutions only slow you down when you use high levels of AA or extreme texture sizes which I reduced already. the cards memory is beeing used 60-80% at max. how can this indicate constant texture swapping? is there a tool to measure GPU/memory load somewhere?

hello, i've been enjoying sins for about a week now and just started playing medium and large maps yesterday. the game runs very smooth on small maps even with large fleets (150+ ships) and enhanced graphics mod. now I have about the same fleet as usual on a large map + about 15 planets fully upgraded with 40-60 defense-platforms each and the game is really choppy. no matter if I zoom in to watch the captains scratch their a... noses or if i'm in galaxy view - my fps drop
hi there, my game rarely crashes but when it does it's usually 1 minute before the next autosave and it usually pisses me off to replay the last 29 minutes. so is there a way to reduce the autosave timer? a 5 minutes autosave would be great. or is there a hidden quicksave shortcut? because I found neither in any options ingame or any gameinfo files I searched :(
do the pirates build bigger fleets and more defenses on bigger maps? because i never ever had any problems defeating them on smaller maps with 10-20 planets and only 1 AI opponent. about 50-70 ships and 20-30 gauss-cannons was the worst they had once. with some decent leveled cap ships and a upgraded fleet of 50+ ships they're toast.
wow I can't imagine how you keep up controlling so many planets and ships at once. but i'm sure you can change the maximum fleet capaciy by modding some files. I just don't know which ones ;)
you could have just played the logistics tutorial which explains all your questions in about 5 minutes.
i don't think its related to the RAM usage. the game took about the usual 0.8-1 GB (1.2GB on "very high" settings) of RAM when loading my savegame - there is no big difference in RAM usage when engaging the fleet nor when i play without the mod. you can clearly see here: first the game loads then the mod loads my fleet jumps in and the last tiny bump is when my fighters launch after that its pr
about the crash. this is probably a mixed problem with this mod and sins. I suppose sins does not handle well with 200 modified squadrons + 150 ships hitting each other. the weird thing is, as soon as I disable the mod and load the exact same game it doesn't crash - but the ships and squadrons are the same. maybe it has something to do with the way you altered the squadrons attacking each other.
I don't know if its related to this mod but its too easy to build massive strike-craft and bomber squads and the game constantly crashes if 2 large fleets collide... right now i'm attacking a fortified AI with 50 gauss-cannons, about 20 ships and 44 squadrons. my fleet has 4 capital ships, about 80 mixed ships of any type and 64 fighter squadrons. as soon as I arrive at the planet and my fighters launch the game will just exit - no crashdump or any error message at all :(<b
