I had a game earlier and...the railgun only did around 200 damage every shot from a level 10 Kol. No, this wasn't against an enemy capital. This was on a Protev colony frigate, a unit that probably doesn't even have enough shields to get to 35% mitigation. I can't really think of the railgun as all that powerful anymore.

Look at them now, they're just a joke faction when they used to be worth something late game.
(1) Yes, and even better than that is the TEC superweapon. But how long will it take you to get there? I should have qualified this a little better, yes, but saying a lvl 6 ability is better than an ability that you can choose right off the bat (although normally, you'd probably get it second if you were going for it) is not necessarily true. (2) Smaller games might not even let a single capital ship level to 6, for example.
1.Well, I did the math and I guess it's not as bad a

Anyone who's played Dawn of War knows this quite well, especially if they've seen Fire Dragons in action. It would be interesting to see something like the Kyulek in O.R.B. Blurring the line between living ships and piloted craft would be an interesting thing to see. And vacuum creatures w

It'd cost less to have some guy carry a crate of unrefined crystal to the processor than it would be to maintain a conveyer belt.

Thanks for being the voice of reason, Carbon. I was going to say that myself, but I had to type up this wall of text.
