I was skeptical the moment I heard about it. I've heard bad things, I've seen bad things, and I know bad things. I think I'll stick to Shockwave and pray Rise of the Reds gets an update. That's my Generals 2, as far as I'm concerned.
Carnston
It's a shame that his people are just going to spin his death into martyrdom. But I suppose we at least dropped the bomb in the right hole this time.
Oh, wow. I didn't think this thread was ever going to get back on-topic after Star Wars came in.
I don't plan on buying it. I appreciate that Valve's done something new in the industry and they're pushing that new thing forward and all, but Portal didn't draw me in all that much. The familiar engine was really all that had me going. Then hearing "The cake is a lie!" in every other part of the internet turned what was an alright thing into a meh thing for me. And now this ARG's just completely shot any chances of me getting Portal 2 on my own, reasons already s

The Thing. I really wish I had a hard copy of that movie. That's about all I can think of that hasn't already been said. That, and, well, it's been a long time since I was a movie person.
It will if Ironclad botches the job (not that I'm saying they will). If it's done right, the transition will be seemless.
Yes, but it was made before any of the STALKER titles and had nothing to do with GSC.
Three games, books, and now a TV series. All that's left is a movie and a play.

Suffice to say, a lot. Personally, I have a hard time believing you're actually nuking/blasting a planet to dust, since then terran planets would be effectively useless after the first wave of bombardment. Not to mention the fallout that TEC bombardment would cause and all the other potential problems you have with saying "**** it, let's just blow everything to pieces". Then again, this is also a game that features lasers that move slower than autocannon shells, so maybe it do
To be honest, at this point, I'd rather see Ironclad invest effort in getting a new game out rather than keeping Sins going, patches withstanding. Something fresh - even if it is just Sins 2 with a snappier UI, better graphics, and a few new ships - would do more good, in my opinion.

Diplomacy builds on Entrenchment, meaning the content from Entrenchment will always be available in Diplomacy.
If I recall, the turrets are actually deactivated once the planet is killed. I don't know if this has changed in Diplomacy at all (Since it's been a damned long time since I've actually played), but if it still holds true, you're just wasting tactical slots like this. Edit: Oh, damn it, just realized how much of a necrobump this was.
Trade ships no longer dock at trade ports due to a pathing bug introduced in a (failed) attempt to improve ship pathfinding. This also ends up affecting ships using their abilities outside their ability range. The character limit for ship and planet names is extended to 32.
I'm very curious as to what's going on, as well. I'm not particularly active on these forums, but I've been watching them for a while now and seen nothing from Ironclad. It almost feels like this game has been left to die. I'm as eager to hear what's been going on as much as anyone else. Maybe more so, because with each day, I lose a little more faith. I'm absolutely sick of this whole tight-lipped routine I've seen out of developers.
To my knowledge, the AI bonus is something that all human players have with AI players. It automatically brings the human's inclination statistic up to 100% with them so they can forge any treaties or alliances available so long as the AI player is willing to reciprocate. This also means that AIs still need envoys to get pacts with you.
I have a feeling this may actually be a joke.
I hate being right.
Not to my knowledge, but I like the idea. You've got my vote in having it included.
Entrenchment Effects Planetary Organic AI: 10% tax rate increase, 20% growth rate increase Matter Compressor: 15% trade goods value increase Ion Field Generator: -20% bombing damage taken Phase Accelerator: 50% faster in-system phase jump speed<br
One I know for a fact is that the Jump Field Generator artifact is now -50% antimatter wasted in transit as opposed to the previous -30%. I'm going to toss together a quick 100% artifacts map to see what's different, so give me a little while. Edit: Alright, I've gotten the values written down, going to post them now.
