Galaxy Forge - starting teams in Technical Sins Forums

I made a 2x4 map for a buddy and myself and I'm having a hard time getting it to work properly. Every time I start the game, I am forced to be on team two. I want to be on team 1 and forget how to make that happen. Hard vs Unfair in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

I'm sure that this is discussed somewhere, but I did not see it anywhere. My roomate and I dig this game and we typically play over the lan against AI. We made our way up the ladder in the difficulty scale but when we got to unfair, it seemed.... well.... unfair =p So the question is: do you folks typically play on hard and just add more hard AI players if you need to make it harder? Or do my roomate and I just need to buck up and learn to play
