So which is is horneraa??? The timer is fixed, or it isn't???
I'm still trying to find the sweet spot with timing, I find the events either happen too fast or too slow for my tastes. The more planets, the worse it gets...upgrading planets should have some automation capabiliites....I find checking planets for available upgrades annoying.
You can hover over the income counter at the top right and get a summary of planets income - if it is red (negavtive), or low for that planet type - guess what. You probably need to upgrade i
If your culture is spreading enough, trade ports. If you have enough income, then more culture... And don't forget that if you colonise a new planet you can either lengthen the longest trade route for a bonus to income or you can add another culture structure to spread culture more. If you have the slots you can do both. So then you could remove the culture from one of your "safe" planets to buid more trade... The thing is - there is no 100% right answer - it depends on your s
When you host (SP or MP) a game (i.e. setup player slots, AIs, teams etc..., there is an Options button at the bottom. Click on it and it opens a window that allows you to turn pirates on or off, as well as a number of other options for the game you are about to host. Others can see the options but cannot change them as it is a host setting...
I played a 2v2 game with 20 (first MP game) last night against someone who has a fair bit of expereince and another first gamer (so teams were reasonably balanced). We both went Vassari vs Advent (exp oponent) and Vassari (first gamer oponent). I wanted to comment on the following: 1) He didn't complain when I queried his skill level (e.g. how much SP experience, if this was first MP game etc...). He (she???) just explained he had played SP, informed me what level AI he could
In my explanation, you don't have a limited amount of time to make decisions, you can take as long as you need to do so.
So if one person doesn't click next and walks away to get a drink, the game waits? What do the other 9 people do if you have a 10 person game??? It was originally claimed the option is a no brainer and will sell more games - I disagree. I think it will hurt the game as then you have arguments about what game mode to start in. Also, the
I would like people to stop trying to turn Sins into something it never was designed to be, nor should ever become. If you want turn based games, play MOO or something else... Here's a question for you - "Have you ever played RISK?". The last person to get their turn in a round has already lost a number of their starting territories. So being the last to have their turn sucks. Remeber that Sins allows up to 10 players in a game.... Another point - you are talking about this fo
And that's the real trick isn't it... I get worried about seeing people with a high number of games and a low number of wins/losses as that says quitter to me. I would rathen play with a newb as long as 1) They are prepared to listen to they learn, improve and contribute to the team 2) We balance the teams so the sides aren't 100% stacked with newbs. 3) And of course they don't quit just because they lost their cap (or whatever), even though they have a
That is the EXACT point of the weapon - it gives a super hit of culture. If you understand what culture does, you will understand how it could be useful - such as making a planet neutral (as explained above)...
I had Spore for a few days. I played it to death. The first few "stages" were just not fun. Well, the first stage was a hoot, swiming around and eating stuff, but as for creature, tribe and civ stages...they were crap. Space was where it was atl. That was very well done. But while I was playing this great space stage, I remembered that I had Gal Civ 2 and Sins...so I instaled them, played them, realised that I was kidding my self with Spore and took it back.<br /
I agree - I almost got wiped out in a game by RA. I only had a few planets left, but my allies rallied and we got the guy pinned as while he had more ships, we had more FLEETS. By the end of the game I was back from a few planets to one of highest colonisers in the game. Since the game was 4v2 at that point, he couldn't handle 4 people with his ally doing things, such as running a fleet of about 100 flak (since he had insane amounts of fighters) through his worlds killing his infra. If he fol
I have pre-ordered it using my CC - I got the 20% discount for using my coupon (survey). You cannot get the discount if you use Pay Pal iirc
But funny as hell... (Unless it's me who starts there!!!)
No - it seems to be working now. Just pointing out it WAS reloading the page for me...
star bases are defenseless in motion
Until this battle station is fully operational, we are vulnerable. The Rebel Alliance is too well equipped, they're more dangerous than you realize...
The page WAS reloading (progress bar was showing blue "progress"). Also, if it was just scrolling to the bottom, the pre-entered text would not be wiped as there had not been a round trip to the server...
Oh well, lesson learned. At least I know now to avoid Stardock products in future as well as EA activated/limited installs and Valves software. Humph, the software industries very own axis of evil!
Maybe just stop buying PC games then???
Thanks Xiandi - that basically looks like my issue as far as I can tell..
There are speed options for a number of factors - income speed, ship speed, build speed, culture spread speed etc... Only thing is it must be setup BEFORE the game starts.
That's right - they get NO customer support, vs not wanting to engage with trolls who go on and on and on via the forums the publisher provides as a courtesy to enhance the game community...

I have nowhere to post screen shots - plus you would ideally need a video to fully see how it happens.
