So I was watching a recorded game and everything seemed to be going as I remembered, but half way through, it started doing things that never happened in the game. All of a sudden, ships seemed to move at random, nobody spent any resources anymore (they all just accumulated them). It was totally weird. Has this happened to anybody else? Btw. this was an automatic recording (as I can't figure out how to save a "normal" recording). Is there a way to resave a automatically

The AI is awful in Sins. Put it on insane (or play against multiple opponents on normal / hard), at least it won't be quite the pushover it is otherwise.
I'm so glad to see THQ's games coming. I already own Dawn of War, but this gives me hope Dawn of War 2 will be on impulse.
Being able to return games that don't work on you're computer is nice. I just bought Neverwinter Nights, and I spent 4 hours trying to get it to work, but I failed. It was only 20$, but still.

I never had any trouble. But SDC is a bit unintuitive, finding where to register you're game is in a bizarre place. Haven't they released Impulse yet though? Which reminds me I should upgrade one day.
There is no point to building multiple trading stations per planet is there?
Download Bailknight's graphics mod... it adds tons of great effects to every weapon in the game, which in turn adds a whole lot to the overall experience because the vanilla weapon effects are pretty underwhelming... best of all the mod doesnt effect performance, at least not at a noticable level. So I would check that out... you can find it in the mod forums.
Are you sure Bailknight's mod doesn't effect performance? I've heard otherwise on these boards.
Currently I'm playing my first game with unlocked teams. There are 10 players, everybody has his own solar system, so defending is a bit easier. There were definitely cases where I felt the AI was ganging up on me, but I've managed to keep at least one as an ally at all times. Though my initial ally got clobbered by the others. I try to get trade treaties with as many as I can, then I use the cash to place bounties on the others heads to keep them fighting each other. Although at some point a bu

Didn't you try the demo? That would have addressed pretty much everything you were surprised by. Anyway, I disagree on pretty much all points. I'm glad the graphics aren't excellent as that way I can run it on my laptop. Gamers who want pretty graphics should buy a PS3 or a 360. Also the game won't be worthless in a few years when online is dead. I haven't played online once and the game's occupied me for weeks now. I play LAN or single player against bots. I definately r

From what I've read of Demigod it has the potential to be cool, but what are the system requirements for Demigod going to be; that's my big question currently. My Laptop is half a year old and quite powerful (and Sins runs well on it), but I don't know if it could've handled Supreme Commander. Also it needs to support at least two computers for LAN with one key. A campaign would be nice as well and 40$ is definitely the sweet spot.
Personally I don't care about online, but I do care about LAN.
Cool interview. This part was interesting:
In two years -- or less -- most new PCs will come with Stardock-developed technology and content. In five years we expect to be one of the major PC, and possibly major console publishers, and the largest digital distributor of PC content.
That's quite a lofty goal :D . But I wish you all the best, since I like Stardock Central far better then Steam. I just hope you never add regions to the store, although that is probably inevita
AD 1602 is the only other one I played. It was pretty awesome back in the day.
Could someone answer this for me please? I can't figure out why Planetary shields have an antimatter reservoir when they never use it, even when the planet is being bombed. Seems like a glitch too me.
None of the races have great voices, they're all pretty average. I play a lot of TEC, and supposedly they're in a really desperate situation, yet none of that comes through. If you want good voicework, play Dawn of War.
When I build Planetary Shields, they don't seem to do anything. They have an antimatter reservoir of 300, yet they never use it. Even when the planet is being bombed, the antimatter doesn't go down. Besides they don't seem to slow the damage the planet takes.
The AI still needs a lot of work.
The version number is in the lower right corner on the main menu
Oh yeah thanks. I wonder why I can't speed up time though? Edit: Figured it out. I have a German keyboard, and for some weird reason Sins mapped the key-commands to where they would be on a US one. Ie. increase speed was mapped to ~ or something like that. Anyway, I've got it straightened out. Now to figure out why my opponents weren't surrendering.
Is there any way to figure out what version my copy of sins is at? I installed the latest patch, yet I cannot speed up the game speed (it's + and - keys to control game speed right?) nor do my opponents give up despite the fact that they had like no fleet and only control like three planets.
I'm better off posting this in the technical forum
1) Yes you can both play together in a lan game with one copy. However if you like the game it would be polite to buy two copies. 2) After installation you do not need to run the client like steam. Stardock central is just used for downloads and patches and registering your game it does not make online checks each time you play.3) You can both download as many times as you like and also archive the game using Stardock central. Also you could do what I did and buy game + Box then you can us
If I buy sins as digital download, can I download and install it on two computers? My brother would like to play as well. Now I'm aware that we probably can't both play online at the same time, but what about Single Player / LAN Multiplayer? Also how exacatly does the installation work, does it come with a client like steam, which always runs in the background? And I assume I can redownload the game whenever I want in case I reformat my HDD or something. Could I also make a backup to CD /
