MB is not op. Each faction has a counter and the skill required to keep a Marza alive long enough to get a level 6 should be rewarded by you having to pay up and get a lvl 1 cap ship that can interrupt the ability.

Disagree. Pirate XP was already lowered, and you can only go from lvl 1 to lvl 3 with titan on pirate base, not a big deal. Your idea also impacts TEC loyalist, as they are defensive for a very long time and would rely on pirate/militia XP to level their caps.

I don't think I'm OK with tacking on phase engines to stabilize phase space. They seem like two totally different techs, and I really don't see the point of colony pods, especially with VR. I also think 3 upgrade slots it kind of high, but I'd be OK with it taking up two slots. I would be ok with maybe making the upgrade slot cost fleet supply (between 20-40), but I don't like the idea of cap ship slots. As for unlimited number as Sareth mention

I'm not here to beat this dead horse any more, and I think everybody is aware that I have been championing adding an upgrade slot for the SB. The reason I am making this thread is to give a clear presentation of the advantages of this idea and to provide an implementation strategy. Having an upgrade slot for each SB would do three things: The VR player will not have unlimited jumping SBs There is an additional cost for each SB that you want mob

Phase stabilizers are a prerequisite. The easiest answer to this whole problem is to add an upgrade slot that you have to buy for each SB you want to be able to jump. The added benefit is that you won't be able to have 8 upgrade slots filled with armor/weapons/debris vortex/frontal deflector. In other words, the SB won't be invincible.
