Thanks for the honesty people, I seriously hope when warhammer comes out I manage to find people like yourselfs who arent bought over with hype, the way I see it you cant judge a game until you play it and where MMOS are concerned you cant judge them until you have played them for 3 months or more after which its to late, you have already been ripped. Hi , yeah I actually bought the gciv 2 expansion after all :) , what stopped me playing gciv 2 was the dreadlords apocalypse mission but I finally managed to complete the dreadlords campaign yesterday :)) I hadnt really played much Gciv because of the dreadlords but now that I have persevered I have made it to the dark avator expansion :), I dunno thus far I feel dark avator plays better, but its probably because I am finally starting to really like gciv 2 , thats why even in the initial instanc

I agree It has got varied strategies and requires more thought than rush rush, I am actually playing gciv 2 atm since I just bought but where sins is concerned theres a HUGE patch in the works so I am waiting until much of the balance changes are made. I have yet to play a strat where at some point in a multiplayer game a player doesnt spam units to some degree, how can you have epic battles with small amounts of units , it would be crap? I am the first to admit there are issues with the game but at the same time we dont want to go down the road where people need a masters degree to play the thing or have way to much complexity for counters, all that is going to do is make the game inaccessible for the silent majority. pengtzu I like to think longterm, and have massive enjoyable battles. I dont usually like traditional RTS games as I feel with sometimes limited amounts of build orders its all about the speed of the first few clicks which can determine how they game will go. I play sins though and I love it, it players much slower and in my view it is a good thing because wars are wars not 5 min afairs for the vast majority of the time. Im actually 28 and its the hopeful horizons clan I am currently in, good thing is any matches you get weeks of notice for if needed. (I also reckon there are a good few older people in this community, as in older than the average gamer and I honestly say this as a good thing because it means you dont get many starting hassle on the forums)

Im not sure if Im thinking along the right lines here but the best way to get in MP is to click the iron clad online ui button when the game starts , then create an iron clad online account from within game then you will enter the proper multiplayer game lobby and see people chatting, next if you look to the left and click join game you will see a list of active games, you can either join one or create your own, if you create your own and wait 5 mins you will probably easily get players in your

I just hope it works out well and I know I sound like a broken record but I really like the way sins plays, I hope they havent done anything crazy like put limitations in that mean much faster games and finite resources. Either way I hope it all works out because I actually think sins is dam innovative despite its flaws. Good luck with the patch :)

Yeah I just hope with everyone going crazy we aint forcing them for a fast release because this game needs some content added as well :(. Looking at some of the other threads and the way its going I think its now going to be harder for them to just take their time and do an awesome patch.

I have seen them just use some of their ships as cannon fodder to attract your ships to fight at your home planet then sending in lots of seige figates and taking down the home planet

Hiya , Just to say to the OP that is a pretty good post. I am a newbie as well but it seems to me like your getting the idea fast, one of my faults was I was so paranoid after reading about upkeep that I would only go to 2 cap ships but I am aiming for 3 or 4 now. The whole attack defense fleet thing I do as well and I know experianced players which do the same. Like someone said about the gauss guns they are really just to hold the enemy up but the hangars can do some dmg to enemy ship
