[quote]As long as you play Advent aganst the AI theres an evil little trick you can pull. Just get a forward-ish planet (this is late game by necessity) and build 6-7 culture centers depending on how many the planet supports. Build them in a circle and drop a starbase in the middle, surround them with beam turrets (with synergy), 2 hangar defenses, 2 repair bays and youre golden. Nothing short of a full fleet can kill this thing and with culture upgrades it pumps out a good 39-42 culture per

vasari is, in my opinion, the least forgiving race in sins. you have to manage your resources and ships carefully, but when it comes to late game, and all the planning is over, they're freakin deadly. the getting there is the hard part, and thats where *skill* comes in.

since you probably have 50+ planets, see how many novas you can build at once on full auto! this will kill your newly colonized planets on multi-star maps, but you dont really seem to care. this isn't the way to go about WINNING the game, but this isn't mp and you're not on my team, so its fun to imagine [e digicons][/e] "the mighty lion, toying with his prey..."

if you don't have entrenchment then just nova the living $hit out of the AI. time will be on your side (quoted from the great Cykur), especially since your TEConomy should be going strong at this point. The AI won't build kosturas so stack the border worlds with defenses. culture will also take away his damage bonus. looking at your fleet composition, i noticed there weren't any carriers. you'll need carriers for this! also, did you have the chance to take him out? th

you're making the right decision. This community is pretty different from others, and we'll be sad to see such a respected member go. But, from your posts I can see you're pretty damn smart, so with a bit of economic luck you'll be better off when all this is said and done. good luck in whatever you do!

as astax said, if you make a certain generic fleet composition for all engagements, chances are that half the ships will be damage sponges. intel is your best friend when it comes to fleet composition, don't ignore it!! i used to far too often, and i probably wouldve won many more games as a new player if i had the correct composition. generic ones work okay, but a truly powerful empire will specialize. On the other hand, as any gamer in general knows, things
