An excellent name would be the WMD mod for Weapons of Mass Destruction, which this mod certainly will have. If Lost_WLD lets you use some of his particle effects among other things for this mod, then we are seriously talking mass destruction. I love this mod and its ideas. Another source for stuff would be Kreyson's Battlewagons mod for help with buffing the capital ships. Anyways, if a beta tester is needed for this mod, I'm available. Hell, Alpha tester even.

Hey CanadaMan, for the Shiva tooltip, I personally would put "a devastating weapon of Mass Destruction", well simply because it both sounds cooler and is easier to work ones mouth around. Decimating weapon of mass destruction just sounds kinda flat.

That would be awesome right there. A Novalith Dreadnought (my idea for a name) would look and be freaking sweet. Well Sins is a lot better than Homeworld when it comes to resource hogging, meaning it doesn't hog resources. In Sins it might work, although Freespace certainly doesn't lack for weapons and the havoc they tend to cause. If anyone wants to give it a try, I'd love to beta/alpha test for them, me having no modding skills of my own.

Thanks, I know what the factions are like now. I will still be the DF when this comes out, even though I hate microing. And I've been reading the Worldwar books by Harry Turtledove and while you are similar and do take a lot of ideas from him, they are excellent and work very well. I feel the TEC need some uniqueness to them. The TEC are humans, really, and we all know humans love guns. If you were to replace the laser research and lasers on all TEC ships with autocannons that would add to uniqueness. TEC need to fire fast with their autocannons, like in WLD's mod where it is a full-auto spray. Having constantly firing instead of burst firing ships would add uniqueness. Ehhhhh. A whole NTF vs. Vasudans vs. Shivans would be good, except it just doesn't look very good. The GTVA has the Colossus, Hecate, and Hatshepshut as capital classes definitely in-game, however a valid point is do we need to fill up all the slots? The answer is YES! An Eclipse SSD would be excellent for the Empire. Of course, its siege would result in the planet's immediate destruction, rendering it neutral. Yes, the Freespace games are available legally for free. There's even a custom installer that installs FS2 along with several mods and unofficial patches for FS2, and the installer comes with a complete port of Freespace 1 over to the FS2 engine, so its a major win. And, a FS2 mod ws made for Homeworld 2 BTW, it's called FS2: A New Age and I think the maker might let a modder use his models. Well the books often describe the MAC rounds as being red fiery balls of death, so the standard TEC Gauss Platform just redder and bigger would work for your standard ship-based MAC. The SMAC's however are white-hot and bigger. Much bigger. I was thinking a actual ball at the front with a flaming trail behind it. Kinda like a meteor.
