Right.. I suggest everyone goes and times how long it takes a levle 1 khol to kill every type of pirate foundin a starsystem. Then go time how long it takes a level 1 Progeniator to do the same. Then tell me WHICH is spose to be the warship and WHICH is spose to be the colonly ship.

scouts dont counter lrms I tried it and got slaughtered my scouts were getting poped. on the otherhand laserfrigates dont seem to do that badly agasint them as long as they dont get critical numbers.. problem beig for TEC its 5 pop to counter a 4pop lrm The real problem is the damage they do to capital ships and the tiny ammount of damage capitalships do to them. Just boost the damage caps do to flak/lrm frigates
ironcily I dont like fast starts in CIV... the starting build orders in CIV vastly effected how well you did and I generaly have better starts then most... On the otherhand it was annoying when someone wouldnt click end turn for the first 30 turns ;P in SINS I cant see anything that it does... the above post... by the time you RUSH the enemy they normaly have scouts know your comming and can have more ships there then you have strung out over systems comming to reinforce while
you people seem to think that the 3 mins extractors take to build wont speed up the game.. Giving you extractors doesnt just save you 3 mintues it increaes the whole speed at which you can explore colonise and attack. and if it doesnt do a darn thing.. why not include it? the game is spose to be agasint micro yet at the start of game you have to hurry to micro and sometimes your builders are on the otherside of the system and they dont move that fast.. othertimes they

If your been online almost no one is around, and its rather depressing when you want a game, a big cause of this I think is how slow the game is to get going which leads to extremly long games. I cant see any viable strats that DONT have you build extractors off the bat(If anyone has any please put them forward) So the way I see it, home systems should have extractors prebuilt and if any worries over balance then just take the cash it would have cost from the start pool. your basing balance on the macro level.. lets base it on opions. getting 2 cap ships early game is no small feat, your saying it should fail outright agasint a specific capship build without it needing any support whatsoever?. well sure, one less build. Using your logic for balance. lets ask a question. should a support ability that is FLEET orinitated defeat abilities that are target specific and do so outnumbered by those abilities 2-1 Missile batteries and bombers are designed for KILLING indervidual targets. the Shield restore is surposed to help a fleet.

actually Runomoro sova with 3 bombers outdamages a khol. Sova with missile battery outdamages marza. that 375 shield heal is turned into a 800 shield heal due to damage mitigation ramp. Lets not even take into account that Capital ship battles untill mass missile frigates are spammed take up to 5 mintues. I dont think caps should really be stronger in general(just the combat centers caps are currently at a disadvantage in any battle because they get focused fired to death and they dont have much more hitpoints then specialist caps which can stay out of battle and still be effective. Maybe make them the speed of normal ships.. after all they are front line assault ships so one would assume there got speed to spare.. chasing down specislist caps etc
I disgree in part, I dont think the total limit for cap ships should be increased, I think the cost of both cap ships and capital ship research should be reduced. I would also like the upgrades to be standard +2 cap ships an upgrade rather then 1 1 2 4 6 or howevfer it currently goes. fact is currently max no cap carrier group and blow apart any cap ship fleet even carrier caps. I think main battleship and planet assault caps should get range increase per level up
I just had a mutiplayer game I had 2 sova one with 3 bomber squad and the other with 4 agasint a level 5 Progenitor. I had strikecraft armor and missile batteries. I had first tier laser armor and health upgrades. He didnt seem to have any. I had to withdraw a Sova without the Progenitor having taken any hull damage, it kept restoreing its shields. Despite up to 6 missile batteries 2 sova class carriers and 7 bombers hitting it it took one of my ships down from
Its the darn speed of online play. The resource caps need to be droped and the cost of capital ships droped from say 3000 to 2000. games just TAKE so long and planet defences are far cheaper easier to get and stronger then majority of ships and it turns into turtle wars. Each race should have a military research that increases speed of ships by 10% each research to a max of 3. Also colonizing worlds colonly ships end up waiting around for 2-3 mins ea
