So what happens if a specific version doesn't work on someone's computer then? They're just screwed? That makes all of no sense, it's not that hard to make the different versions available.

So how do I get the previous version, 1.03, on impulse? The mod I want to play doesn't work with 1.04 yet, and Impulse won't give me a choice on which version to install.
It's an english version. I've looked around and everyone who has this kind of installation problem has a 64 bit operating system. Anyone know of a patch or something for this?
When in safe mode I get the error, "windows installer is not correctly installed" When in normal mode I get the error: "Error The folder path 'Stardock Games' contains an invalid character." My first instal apeared to work. It didn't. I could not save, and when I got the update it would not install because I "do not have Sins of a Solar Empire installed." I cannot uninstall, reinstall, or modify because of the error stated in this thread. I have never install
When I try to install the 1.04 patch I get the following error: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sins. Please make sure you have the game installed. This update installation will now exit." I haven't had any problems playing the tutorials up to this point, but the update seems to think I haven't installed the game. I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate X64, and the game is installed on an external SATA 3.0GB Hard drive. <
