Thanks for the help, Zubaz ... now if I could only find a forum where it's displayed to me?
Quoting mafutnyoas, reply 12 I understand your reasoning here, but in all honesty a lot of these companies realize they make more money off business licenses and not home user licenses. Hardly... They might make *most* money off business licenses, but I really doubt home user sales are negligible. If they really had realized it, they'd offer the FULL versions of their products free for home use. The whole point with the
Hmmm, thanks for your respons, Annatar11. I received my karma in off-topic.
Hello everyone - I come to the SoaSE forums most days, and occaisonally happen to glance at the fact I have zero karma. Absolutely no problem at all ... Then today I went into my account to check some stuff out only to notice that two people gave me karma, but it doesn't show in the forum. Does anyone know any possible reasons for this? Thanks :)
Good answer, InfernalRS.
Laptops are almost a misnomer, because they were terribly on your lap. Reason being is because most normally the vents are on the bottom and there are some stumpy legs to give it some lift, however placing the computer on your lap often blocks those vents. I recommend a stand or a table.
Quoting SgtHop, reply 12Pwn does not mean those things, it means "own". "Own" means those things. Pwn is just a typo, and is actually pronounced "own". Just so y'all know. c: It's not a typo when I say Pwn deliberately. And I pronounce it was P-own
LOL. FTW does stand for "For the Win", however, it also does stand for "Fuck the What".
I'm really suspicious to everything called "free", since they all have versions that is not free. Lol, thanks for answering SageWon
Interesting topic. Right now I'm using AVG Free and I'm unsatisfied with it's memory usage.
Has anyone completed all the achievements? And if so, do you get anything for doing so? Thanks :)
FTW is also WTF backwards. People use it to avoid curse detectors.
Hi all, this is more about the forum, and more indirectly about SoaSE. I was going through my forum info today and noticed there are spots for different messengers. I think it would be beneficial to have a field in the database for Xfire. Any takers?
Speaking of achievements ... do you get anything for completing all the achievements?
I think the first place you went wrong, poster, was to update it after it said it was not installed correctly. You should have tried to reinstall it. ;)
Can we avoid these silly topics? Subjectivity is just a clash of opinions, and no amount of agreement or disagreement can make either position right. In the end it all comes down to taste, nothing more. TBS is little more than Risk with 1,000 variables you must track, yet no pressure nor micromanagement. Maybe that's why I struggle to like the TBS, because it's more like work. A lack of pr
It's your onboard video card. Onboard video cards get their ram from your system ram, except in rare cases where some of them have some of their own ram. If you go into your bios or use some utility, you should be able to change the amount of ram allocated to your card.
Is there a place to post issues for this specific patch? They may be issues from the previous patch or game in geenral, but I'd like to contribute in any event.
I'm stuck with AGP for the time being, though my system is fairly quick. I picked up the last AGP card by Ati out of desperation, the HD 3850 512 and I'm extremely satisfied with it for the moment. All my games run like butter.
I'm a Civ4 fanatic, as well as an old MOO2 fanatic, and heard its a great game to get into if you're into those games. Look forward to reading your input. What are you waiting for? You should be installing GalCiv II instead of posting here. P.S. - not interested in playing the demo. Why?
lol. Well, I was waiting for some input :P As for the demos bit, unless it's a first person shooter, I find that the demo almost never does a game justice - especially a strategy g
Yes, I figured a lot of people in this forum were GalCiv players. Thanks for the tips and the link to the review, Feud. I hope to go pick up GalCiv II shortly.
Hello everyone. I've done some reading on various sites, and after all that, I thought it best to come to the Sins forums, rather than any forum dedicated to Galciv players to get a perhaps more realistic opinion on whether or not it is worth it to get Galciv II. I guess I'm looking for a list of ups and down and opinions on Galciv II. I've read there is no multiplayer, and I've seen what I think to be three separate expansion packs for the game. Are they worth it? Do they add anything wo
IMO, norton and mcafee are disastrous. I currently dont use anivirus software, but when I do, it's AVG. I have little to no experience with the other free products, so i cant vouch for them. AVG has always done a perfect job for me. The prob with norton and mcafee is they claim to be an all-in-one solution usually, and they have all these bells and whistles to alert you of adware, spyware, viruses, etc, but I find they have so many working parts, one or more usually fails. They also t
My first gaming experience was with a VIC-20, which for those of you who don't know, is a sister-computer to the Commodore-64. I played such games as Jupiter Lander, Pacman, the text-based adventures like Voodoo Castle and Adventure Island as well as games like Serpentine Radar Rat Race. Very pointless rant. Uninformed, untrue and especially pointless seeing as the post was made after the beta patch was released. This kind of complaint should have come out before the patch was released, and furthermore, the user should have waited longer to post a complaint - the patch came out only a few days after mid july. Idiot.
Seriously, this game has seen some great dedication to support. If you really need to complain with a gaggle of other complainers, head over to the
