I'll be at a LAN party tonight where we'll all play SINS on our laptops. None of them have played online, whereas I consider myself to be preaty good online. I don't expect anyone will be able to put of much of a challenge against me one-on-one. LOL, they probably don't even know what RA is, and have never seen an Illum spam. So what method of shock and awe should I use against them? Shall I make them cry when 30 illums crush their fleet, or shall I go for RA a

Good One! ROFL. I just want a mod that beeps for 10 seconds or so in an very annoying fashion when my scout finishes building, so I will remember to go send him out right away.
Quoting Wizard1956, reply 18 ( Vista renamed to "Mohave") Yeah, the Mojave Experiment, I saw that. I believe there was a skeptic guy who, when told the truth that it was Vista, said, "Then why is it fast?" Got a great laugh from it, but it proved how little people actually knew Vista
This was a good experiment, MS grabbed some of the Walmart laptops and
He's no noob if he read the forums, and atleast tried SP first. A newb maybe but not a noob. A NEWb is new. A NOOb is someone who makes you want to cry NOO! when he joins your team.
I've always wanted a MMORTS with millions of units on a huge map, but I just don't think it's resonable with current connection speeds. Sins could work however, thanks the to modular nature of the maps. Each star could be handled by it's own server and you would connect to another server by star jumping to it. Sometimes you may not be able to get into a server, and the star jump would fail, perhaps the ships charge the jump for a few seconds but then just ne
How about this. Interest on the resources you have in stock. Currently there is only one way to go, if you have it, spend it as fast as possible. With a moderate interest level it would be helpful to build up a stockpile and then keep levels high, because it would help generate more income. This could lead to exponential growth, but it would take so many hours before things really started getting out of hand. You could also cap the amount you could gain throu
I've been so negative towards IronClad and Stardock. I've criticized Impulse, the mini-updates, the patching process, the community, so many things. Although I've never criticized the game, because SINS is great! I have to apologize though. I've recently bought a new computer, and SINS installed easily and quickly. Works great. I took it for granted. I've tried many older games, and they all have problems. I just bought Crysis Warhead today
The expansions risk dividing the already crippled online community. I personally think 1.05 will be the height of SoSE online experiance. Unless they release another proper game, instead of these silly expansions. Will the expansions decline in price like the game has? Can we expect them to be 5 bucks after 6 months? Probably not because they're distributed online. It will be funny when you can buy the original for 10 bucks and then the 3 then an expans
an hour Sorry, this is not fast food development. There are many things on the list - some of which are already addressed and others that will need to wait. We do need to keep the machine moving. If we spent every day working on forum suggestions, we would quickly run out of resources and there would be no more patches OR new games. We do our best, but our primary mission is not to address every minute issue - it is to work on major p
They can afford development time and dollars for 3 micro expansions, patch team, marketing etc, but not the dollars to set aside an hour for one of thier employees to package and updated version of the beta and release it on Impulse, thier brand spaniking new online distribution medium which was supposed to ease developer and customer access to patchs and updates as well as new content and games?
If the 2nd beta implementation happend to not work (say, it crashed the ga
After reading his original post, it's obvious he know hows to obtain the beta, and that he already has tried the beta, so I doubt he'll care much that you didn't tell him how to get the beta. He'll probably come to think of you as a creator of rude and useless posts though, just as I have. I agree with what he is saying, that is: Well, an example will make it easier to understand: We all know about the fighters not disapearing when they're sold or
Here's the story: I was in a great game, I had the most resource income with 10 plannets, while my opponent had 5. I began to press my opponent, and I noticed he had a gate, and some civic research stations (whatever). I quickly targeted the civic research stations knowing he was going for RA, but I didn't think he could have actually achived it at that point, but I knew he was close. I took out the stations and though that would buy me some time. I took the pl
If I (or anyone for that matter) were to organize an unofficial tournament would anyone be interested? I was thinking of trying a swiss tournament. For those unfamilliar it has all the excitement of elimination tournaments, but nobody is actually eliminated. The winners play other winners and losers play losers. Everyone is matched to someone of similar skill ensuring exciting and balanced games. Ultimately the winner is whoever has not been defeated, and
