I don't think this screenshot proves anything. FoePa You actually need to quit the game and look at the graphs. You'll see that the income coming from the AIs planets is more important than the player's planets. In the game I did against 9 hard AIs, I quitted midgame, then checked the graph. While I took no pictures, here's what I saw: (note that I was dominating all the AIs, having more planets than all of em) I was 3rd in credit earnings. I was 1st in credits received fro

Title says it all, I'm TEC and I just researched the Pervasive Economy but honestly, I didn't notice that MUCH of a boost (I researched the 2 lvls of the spell btw). Maybe I'm just not noticing it. Is it because I'm playing against 9 AIs instead of human players (they're on Hard lvl) What are people experiences with it?

Hi all. So I have a brand new computer with a 3.16 Ghz dual-core, an Nvidia 8800 GTS 512 meg video card and 3 gig of Corsair DDR2 memory. Still, when it comes to huge fights, my fps drops to 9-10. It happens mostly when I play against Advent, the Iconus Guardians shields don't really help. I do use Bailknights' mod for better weapons visuals, so I don't know if it counts in the balance. very interesting thread, and I tend to agree that flak is unfortunately pretty useless (even in 1.05, I don't use it that much) Do we know if Stardock reads the thread and take notes of what we experience? There was another thread in the general forum where one person stated that the AI in 1.09 simply spam strikecrafts and there's nothing to do about it except spamming strikecrafts too.

Hi everyone. I'm pretty new to SoaSE, but I already beated my second normal game against 7 others AI (turned 2 of em against the biggest empire, waited for the them to kill each other, then proceded to take everything). So I was wondering what was different with the hard settings, because I want the game to remain fair. well, I understand what you mean and I agree entirely, but I think you missed my point. All I was saying was that without the capability of visiting other solar systems to colonize viable worlds, space warfare is a bit futile, as we'll probably never face other civilizations, let alone hostile ones. And perhaps one of the reason we never had any space visitors (although I'm just speculating) is because they can't find us too. Or if they did find us, they can't reach us. I don't want to break the party, because everything that has been posted here has been very interesting and I want the discussions to continue, but I was wondering this one thing: aren't all these discussions useless if FTL travels are impossible? Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it happen. But if it is impossible, all these theories about warfare and such will remain... theories.

How did they change the graphics in the new patch? Did they entirely change models (I believe the Vasari Evacuator needs to be redone completely)??? Do weapons feel more present or will we still need a mod to make the game feel "more impressive" ??? How is the game graphic wise with the new patch?

I have a simple question about the new beta: because Stardock upped the numbers of strikecrafts carrier cruisers can build, did they also upped the number of aircraft a carrier capital ship can build too??

very good question asked here... will the Carrier capital ship get more strike squads after being built??? If not, I see it as being a bit useless vs carriers... sure it does extra damage and have some abilities... but is that enough? Another question for the devs: you probably know the visual mods for Sins (like Bailknight) greatly improve the visual aspect and the feeling of epicness in the game. I think they should re-do some ship designs, and maybe increase weapon effects do we don't always have to use mods:P The Marza, The Evacuator and the Kortul needs redesigning... especially the Evacuator, it's pretty damn ugly. The Kortul just doesn't look menacing.

allies are also pretty dumb or just not cooperative. When I asked them to attack an AI with whom they had no allegiance, they said "Gotcha" then one second later "I've finished your task"... wtf!?!?! They didn't even move!

everything's working great so far! I love all the effects! The only minor complaint I would have is for the Vasari Marauder: The green beam doesn't seem to have any kind of impact effect on the ship it is fired upon. Besides this... great work!

so I just downloaded your mod on rapidshare. Which version will I have??? How does modding work exactly? I just bought the game and I also thought the weapon effects needed reworking, can someone help me here?:P edit: nvm the post, I just read the readme file in your zip document... great work!
