Nah. I love me some of my Advent. Meteor strike for the win! It will punish any and everything! As for starbases, fully upgraded and fleet supported bases are supposed to be a pain. So far as Advent the best luck I seem to have is take total fighter/bomber control and let them do the grunt work. Make sure your fighter/bombers are fully upgraded and outnumber the enemy. It is okay. You are not alone in your thoughts. I feel the exact same way. I even tried to play a game last night as them again thinking "Maybe this time I will get it". Meh. I still hated them. So hopefully someone will answer this as I want to know as well.
