I'm still not really sure how Tachyon helps Sins in any way. If we're done getting updates, what difference does it make if Stardock starts using new software to help them make informed decisions when updating their games? Also, it Star Control is just an RPG is space to my knowledge, nothing like the RT4X of Sins or the 4X of GS3. Also, strategy and MMO don't belong together. Fundamentally, they rely on contradictory principles. MMO
Now that it sounds like the announcement was Tachyon, how do we now think sins will be in six months.
I've forgotten what thread he originally said it in. Perhaps mentioning us specifically meant something in context?
I hope so. But I doubt it.
The regrettabl.e part about getting excited for a sequel and a new race that skins like may not happen is you start desperately wishing to play as that race..
Just built one on Monday, but the laptop before that was my college laptop.now that I've got a desktop, it'll only be used as a secondary.
I never thought that the two statements were connected. I just figured the comment on sales was a projection of sales based on how many they've been selling on steam sales.
To seriously add to the list: falling prey to excessive hype
The only way it would be useful would be for balance changes, but unless I'm crazy, that requires updates that won't come.
They said star swarm was a demo and was not to be a game. I too am hoping that the oxide title will be sequel, but... This announcement does match up with what he suggested...
So was this the big announcement to make me happy? Or is there more coming [e digicons]:pout:[/e]
I'm pretty sure this is it.
I'm pretty sure.
Not quite sure what this has to do with Sins, but... Ok... The technology is cool and would certainly be useful in the future games, but again, I'm not sure why sins players would like this particularly seeing as how updates on our game have been suspended so it won't be impacted by this. I plan to consider buying OWTC when it comes out, but that's not a Sins thing, that's just that it sounds interesting with or without this software backing it up. Edit:
they said sins was done with updates.
Well if you read carefully he said that the result will be that many sins games will be sold this year as a result. So, I wasn't really expecting a big change, this is just maintaining the cash flow from the franchise while they work on other projects.
It said this won't go live until next year though, so i can't imagine it impacting Sins sales, especia

Or better yet, a smart-build system that also chooses the nearest factories to build those ratios from and automatically send the ships to the fleets that lost them.
Titans are supposed to be strong lol some times "BALANCE" or some of ur guyses itteration of it Dose not fit with the lore or the story line, id rather have deeper lore and game play then multiplayer id rather have more ships with porpous artistically rather then try to make them Fit for MP, SOASE has sp at its core not mp They should focus on lore and sgips more rather then MP balance which is a waste of time is only the 1persent p
Titans are just too powerful. You can rush them with feed and immediately nullify frigates.
In other words become an unkillable juggernaut. Similar to the Advent Loyalists though with far less complexity. I'm not sure if this is a troll thread or not, but everything you posted sounds good in theory, but if you're good enough to micro your flak like is required in 9, why not do some more classic strategy and just mop the floor with your enemies?
I am nothing more then a code monkey. I can't even do half of what these guys do. I do give it to Goa though as he has more experience.
I'm nothing more than an ability guru [e digicons][/e]
Just get rid of titan AOE and make every titan like the Kultarask or Coronota. Boom, problem solved.
Kultorask? No. Coronata? Better, but not far enough IMHO. I just never wanted titans in the first place. Also, it appears that you cannot revoke karma that was given accidentally by fat-fingering your screen. I liked it more when you had a confirm dialog...
As much as I hate to have it be a necessity, I think that the existence of titans dictates either tiered units or at least late-game upgrades to units. As said before, when I experimented with doing that to capitals, it wasn't well-received, but perhaps doing so to frigates would be better. There simply comes a point where frigates are invalidated by titan AoE. Perhaps the solution isn't to buff frigates but rather to nerf titans or at least their ability to hurt f
I've actually wanted chaining damage for a while too and has always been how i wish it was buffed. Unfortunately, there's no good way to do it via mods.
Increased health would probably be ideal... Actually, I'd rather titans just weren't a thing, but...
