Yeah, those reviews for the ASUS board arent very good... but i am buying these off of superbiiz.com and it says the ASUS board includes a lot of stuff, and for the EVGA board, that section is missing, soooo im not sure if the evga board has these or not P.S. i dont not care that the ASUS board comes with all the cables, and optional fans and stuff, i have plenty of those, but it comes with a user's manual, which i may need for installation (never replaced a motherboard before)
no vista, im still rocking xp haha
ok, i've decided to stop procrastinating an get the 790i with 2 gigs of ddr3 1333 from super talent. Should i get the Asus striker II 790i? or the EVGA 790i? the asus one is about $20 more expensive and they seem identical other than the price http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=MB-STKR2-N http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?nam
A 64 bit OS is something i have been considering, but ive been dreading hunting down all the 64 bit drivers if i make the upgrade. Im stuck with the motherboard descision because a 790i with 2 gigs of ddr3 RAM is about $250 and a 780i with my current RAM is about $160, but if i go with the 780i in a year when i want ddr3 i'll need to uprgrade again. I heard that the intel x48 supports both ddr2 and ddr3, but the nvidia board seems to have better feautures for what i will be doing with it, any
Thanks Marvin i was afraid of that, does anybody know a board that supports both ddr2 and ddr3 and a q6700? ddr3 seems to have very little performance gain for the price and after buying two new graphics cards and a new processor i dont want to spend more money unless it is necessary
Ok, so i recently bought a core 2 quad q6700 and two 9800gtx+'s, only to find that my mobo does not support the new processor and the PCIE slots (marketed as x16) are actually x8, so now im in the market for a new mobo, i was considering the nvidia 790i, but i need to know if it supports DDR2 RAM, does anybody know? and any suggestions for a mobo other than the 790i? Thanks
Infinity is almost impossible for people to grasp, think about it, everything you do has a purpose only because it has an end. If life never ended, you would not be driven to accomplish anything. The universe is infinetly vast, and completely mysterious, we haven't even figured out where gravity comes from yet. FTL travel is necessary to explore the universe, but not to enjoy it. If you are exploring at that speed, think of all the empty, truly empty, voids you will miss, all the qui
I know that the advent usually have the stringest fleet by late game statistics-wise, but whenever i play them their ships seem so weak (with the exception of carriers). Guardians are annoying to fight against, especially when they just keep pushing your ships away. This battle-ball formation is intruiging, and it seems like a more technical strategy than the normal illum or carrier spam
This is a great story, its focus on a single admiral's fate is a great foil to the main sins stories focus on entire empires. I think that the vasari are sufficiently "alien" enough, and it would be difficult to picture them any other way. Think about it, a race that once had a huge empire is now on the run from a powerful and enigmatic enemy, they would cling to the one aspect of their culture that still exists, military tradition. So they are, and rightly should appear to be "bland military
I think pirates should act more like pirates, attacking trade ships and the like that pass too near their base; only attacking larger prey like planets when the money outweighs the danger. Also, if you are allowed to designate a target for pirate raids, their should also be a "grudge" system where if you send the pirates to their deaths without providing any backup, they would be less inclined to help you in the future, or even turn on you completely and ally with you enemies
Personally, i do not like mines. But as the expansion is called "Entrenchment" it makes since that more defensive-oriented strategies would be introduced. Mines represent an attempt to regain some kind of order to the combat in sins, i have read other posts about how starbases need to be changed because fleets can just ignore them and raid other planets.... what if you place mines along routes that a starbase cannot cover? this would make it harder for fleets to get by a starbase unscathed.
