Also Starfishes are great. They don't hit as hard as their TEC counter part, but they can hit several targets at once. Combine that with range and you have a demolition crew. Build a couple and run them into enemy bases and you will see.

Vasari are not too weak, maybe harder to play.
I did some testing with the Tec suicidal base. It has a timer after activation, so a player still has time to flee. The blast radius wasn't very big either. The 4k damage will not be enough to destroy a Vasari base, and the blast can damage your own units and structure. If all that wasn't bad enough, you have to spend one slot for the bomb.
Hmmm... do you know its just a game? I think no pixels were harmed in making of this game.
You have to build reserach facilities and then research Fleet logistics. The top one is for capital ship slot; the bottom is for supply.
Ten seconds are very long time.
Capture neutral extractors with your scout. You can even build SB there to protect them.
I think Vasari gets the best SB with Advent very close second. TEC gets the worse SB IMO. Vasari SB are mobile and get that shield. Advent SB starts with 2 strike crafts and can get Mass disorientation, Meteor storm, and allegiance upgrades. TEC base can build ships and detonate? Starfish is weak but can hit multiple targets. It is still better than nothing (Vasari).
Iconus Guardians: Take one or two off auto cast and hot key them. In a fierce battle they become your back up IG!
I have mixed feelings about sub factions. It can be fun. But it can also mess it up (like in C&C when some sub-factions weren't balanced very well).
They usually don't buy them unless they really need it. Sometimes I do both. I put couple hundred resource on black market and then sell some directly. Sometimes it takes too long for the AI to buy the resource.
Observe the fluctuation of prices. Don't sell too much resource at one time (when selling directly to market). After you sell a couple hundred wait awhile for the price to come back up.
Oh yeah for the development team, please consider putting in a campaign!
Starcraft has excellent campaigns as well as multiplayer; why can't we expect more from this game? A good campaign will only make a good game better. However I do recommend this game even without campaign.
Levels are everything for Cap ships, and Advent has that market cornered. Its so easy to build an Advent ship and get to level 4 in no time. They also get xp bonus after 4.

Great game but no campaign. No campiagn in Entrenchment either.
We already have siege frigates, but they suck.
